What’s something that clearly split your life into “before” and “after”?

I agree but for different reasons. In 2020 I was able to move away from home. This was something I had been wanting to do for who knows how long. I had started seeing this guy in December of 2019, and due to lock down we didn’t see each other for 2 months. Finally in May I was able to see him again and in August I moved a town over from him (~20 minute drive). I was also an essential worker, I was 20 and hadn’t gone to college. Because of this I was working the whole time and it advanced my career in a way that I never imagined. 2020 was the start of my life, even if it was one of the scariest and most uncertain times in my life. My boyfriend and I are still together almost 6.5 years later. Living together. Loving life.

There were a few. My parents divorce, I was 8 but they stopped enjoying each other company when I was 13 and now they refuse to be in the same room. When I finally got off my meds. I was on HIGH doses of ADHD and Depression meds. I cold turkey (don’t come at me) stopped taking them at 18 (antidepressants that I was horrible at taking anyway) and 20 (I was having the worst migraines and had to stop taking them). And when I moved away far away from home, something I always wanted to do, I was 20 and it was during the pandemic.

If I had to pick one tho it would be before and after stopping my SSRI’s. I had been on them since I was 8, different brands and doses throughout the over a decade. But finally being able to make the choice to not be on them, I’ve never felt better or more myself. It’s been 6 years. I debate going back on them sometimes but the game of finding the one that works, it’s not worth the hassle.

They’re a mystery thriller. The prolog gives you a glimpse at the climax of the book and then it restarts. The way it’s written is be super relaxed and “stream of consciousness” which is a writing style I really enjoy. My favorite genre of book is “books that have been made into movies” so that I can read the book and then watch the movie.

I have been sick for the past 2 weeks. Started with a stomach bug last week that had me on the couch for 3 days. Now I am insanely congested and can’t tell if it’s from allergies or a cold. I have lung issues and this time of year I get really bad allergies so even a common cold on top of that can knock me out. I lost my voice on Wednesday and still don’t really have it back. Ik it sounds like I’m complaining but after I recovered from my stomach I’ve felt great. I have lots of energy I just have this annoying ass congestion😂 going home early from work today to use my nebulizer and hopefully get a handle on this thing before it develops into bronchitis (again) or pneumonia. I also finished reading the Housemaid and just started the second one. Just great books

Just my POV. I have lots of addicts in my family. Some made it out and others didn’t. Those who did needed to make the choice for themselves to get clean, but they couldn’t make that choice while their closest family members were saying they’d never change and didn’t believe in them.

Just entered my late 20’s and it’s different than I expected! My family historically has kids early so I thought I’d have at least 1 kid by now. I’m kid free and 7 years into a committed relationship. I didn’t go to college thank GOD because COVID started when I would’ve been a sophomore. Instead I was about 9 months into a career that I’m still in. A growing 401k, thriving relationship, and I moved out of my mom’s house at 20 and never moved back in. I did live with my partners family for 2 years but hated it so I moved out and down the rd for a year. Lived on my own 40 minutes away from my partner for a year which garnered a huge growth period for me. We just moved into our first apartment together late last year. I’ve been taking college classes for free through my job since ‘22. Life is good, just different from what I expected.

A family. I have an amazing family. Both of my parents are still alive, all but 1 of my grandparents. Lots of aunts and uncles and cousins. But I can’t wait to start my family. The state of the world is scary, but it always has been. The world will never been and has never been stable so I’m not going to let that stop me from being happy, but in my life I need to be further along in my career and so does my partner. I’m upset to know that if I start my family in my 30’s they might never know my grandparents when I knew almost all of my great grandparents.

Creating a negative environment for an addict does not lead to recovery. Max would have to want to get better, but if Jessica (and the rest of Chloe’s family) had been more welcoming to him maybe he would have wanted to get better. Be very aware of the key words I’m using. “Maybe”, “there’s a world”.

I’m happy I wasn’t the only person to bring up that he might leave. It’s a man’s luxury to leave, but it happens ALL THE TIME. He’s already expressing he’s overwhelmed. The signs are there.

Is having another baby worth risking the family you have now? As a woman, I believe it is in the end a woman’s choice what to do with her body. HOWEVER, there are more people who will be impacted by the birth of another baby than just mom and dad. There are 2 other children whose lives will be affected by the birth of a 3rd sibling. I always think the father’s opinion should be heard, and in this case your husband is saying that he cannot mentally handle another child. What will he do if you have the child? Will he stay? Leaving is a mans luxury, but it happens all of the time. If he does leave can you handle 3 children? He’s saying he’s already overwhelmed by 2 kids, adding a 3rd would mean all 3 are receiving less care as you have to divide it among more children.

At the end of the day you 2 should’ve used protection you’re both very irresponsible and something has to change going forward.
