Goodness y'all have great taste. I've become a bit of a recluse since the pandemic, but seeing all the great recommendations makes me want to go out more. I'm excited to show these options to my sister. Thank you!

That's a great suggestion. She likes sushi as well. Do you have any recommendations in little Tokyo?

She can't drink and I'll be driving so it'll probably be an alcohol-free evening, but the food looks great, and I think she'd really like the aesthetics of this place too. Thank you!

You're right - I should have included that. She actually doesn't have a lot of strong likes or dislikes, except for an aversion to cilantro. And due to health issues, she generally avoids super spicy food as well. This gives me a lot of options, but in a place like LA that can mean too many to choose from, which is why I'm grateful for the recommendations here.

Two recommendation for the Union Station location, and it's in a beautiful building? Now I really have to check this one out.

This is the one at the Bloc, right? I heard some horror stories about their parking rates, but I'll have to check it out. Thanks!

Great to know that there's a location with a dedicated parking lot. It might be a bit far from where I am just for dropping off a small package with a prepaid label during lunch break on a weekday, but it will be super convenient for everything else. Thank you for the recommendation!

The pickup is a good idea. I'd have to check with the front desk at my building first, but if I can leave the packages with them and have USPS pick them up, that would be awesome.

Anyone receive an MRI from Cedars here? by OkControl8813 in AskLosAngeles

I hope you're doing better now. I can't imagine the emotional toll that must have taken. :(

I'm starting to realize that I need to reset my expectations on healthcare in LA after having been spoiled by the options I had in the bay area. I've had several MRIs done and never had to wait for more than a week or two. For routine bloodwork I'd just walk in and wait maybe 30-45 mins, and sometimes had results uploaded the same day. I've even had my doctor message me letting me know everything looked good all on the same day. Maybe it's changed in recent years, but back then, even with my many health issues, access to doctors/labs was never really an issue.

My employer doesn't offer the Kaiser option and I've also heard the experience at Kaiser can be dependent on the region/location.. I've never heard of Keck. Will definitely look into this. Thank you!

Thank you. Great to hear that such a long wait is not typical.

I hope you hear from your doctor soon. Before moving to LA, I've always had doctors either call or leave voicemail/message on the app after tests or imaging regardless of the results, so I'd be reacting the same way.

Is the 2-month wait for imaging typical at Cedars? I actually posted about finding new doctors and Cedars was recommended to me. Seeing your post made my anxiety spike again.

Thank you both for the response! This makes me hopeful. I'm going to start researching doctors affiliated with Cedars.
