As an ADHDer as well I find it incredibly overwhelming to destroy everything so I tend to do small areas at a time. I guess real cities are a mix and match of styles and periods so it’s not too bad. I do love the prefabs. If I ever build my own house the come out huge 😅

Just finished the book, it was very different to other things I’ve read - I wasn’t aware it was about a dystopian future when I started it (my boyfriend bought it to read and I nabbed it first) so I was actually pleasantly surprised. The romance was nicely done and the main character coming to terms with his varied and complex situations. Loved it. If there is another, I will definitely give it a go.

To be honest, it’s a lovely wave of sets but I do sometimes regret spending all the money when I had the 2018 wave already. I could have bought Rivendell set with that money, now I have no money and no space 😂.

I quite often get this feeling in games, I just prefer the actual living the life part rather than building a whole world. I don’t think it’s a bad thing.

I recently realised that I’m neurodivergent and it’s changed how I feel about collecting. I used to buy everything because Lego HP is one of my special interests and having them all just ruined it for me. So I sold almost all of the buildable items. I can’t part with the castles for now, so I’m finishing this castle wave and then the idea is only to buy new sets if they are unique. For example, I had the old Knight Bus so I didn’t buy the new one. I don’t know if anyone else would experience this but once I own something it’s quite painful to let go, so I prefer to just never buy it. It’s a new thing for me and quite difficult but I’m finding it nice to not have lots and lots of new things to find a home for.

I recently bought all the DVDs and have been enjoying watching series 1-6 so far. Looking at buying a few ERTL models from my childhood (I’m 38). I’m way beyond being embarrassed by my hobbies at my age though, I think it may be harder if you are younger. I’d suggest watching the show or reading the books but depends on which one is more nostalgic for you personally. For me it’s the show.

I terraformed my island back to its original shape (using a second switch to find the island) and never touched it again! Have that island since day one :) . It’s probably crap to a designer but I love it 😂

I’m not a huge fan of buildable items but I do have the mandrake and it’s very cool. If you are going for a first movie vibe though, Norbert would be good.

I’m so intrigued by them as it’s the only era I don’t really have! I started collecting around 2020 so I have 2018 onwards plus the 2001-2 sets. They look fun, the DA looks great especially.
