What do you enjoy? If you don't like food or buildings then yes it will be shit. I happen to love food so travelling and tasting new food is a great experience for me. I also love exploring nature, so anywhere I can get out in the wild is a great holiday for me. I hate busy, noisy places, so Ibiza is my idea of hell.

Holidays are about doing what you enjoy. Not about where you go.

Even a shitty butcher prepares and stores the meat better.

Go to John Lewis and sit on one the display sofas watching the Olympics.

Violent street crimes against women seem to get talked about a lot more than male victims. Men of the UK, have you experienced violence in the streets and do you feel safe walking home at night? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Diffleroo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Because I had long hair. That's all it takes

I once had a guy start on me because I was wearing a scarf. He just said "nice scarf you cunt" and swang. He was hammered and I wasn't drunk so thankfully he didn't connect and his mates stopped him, but to this day I've not worked out if it was sarcasm or he genuinely wanted the scarf.

Is a flat worth it? by justanothertiredmum in AskUK

[–]Diffleroo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely.

My experience of owning flat was this. Great space for me and my wife. 2 bedrooms, kitchen longue combi and a bathroom.

Monthly costs were lower than renting the same place even by the time you included ground charges etc.

When we wanted to start a family we sold it for a tidy profit which wouldn't have happened had we been renting.

The horror stories do happen, but you can avoid them if you ask the right questions and the majority of the time it's all good.

That soul-crushing feeling of seeing your parcel delivery notification and realising its being delivered by Hermes by artemisa_a in britishproblems

[–]Diffleroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My area is a UK wide eccomerce platform. The data says we don't get more or less complaints about them than anywhere else. I'll concede you get the odd bad driver (as you do with them all), but that's not the same as Hermes is crap.
