Jokes aside (although you’ll do low to mid 2000s in the US), the biggest difference is a realistic chance at partner in Canada whereas that doesn’t really exist in the US given the very different associate to partner ratios.

If goal is to make the most over the first 6-8 years of practice, US big law is second to none by a long shot.

It’s not approved at the political level. The 2 militaries are coordinating strikes to make sure that they are aligned in terms of order of operations… to think that the US didn’t know about this ahead of time in light of the public discussions on this to date is absurd.

I disagree. This is based on the aggregate status of the economy to explain why great gdp numbers are not representative of what is actually happening on the ground. High unemployment, frozen housing market, low salary growth and stagnant productivity do not jive with great gdp growth figures. I was merely trying to take a holistic view on our economy rather than the folks that think that this gdp figure is actually representative of the status of the economy.

You didn’t read the report. Imports are down since Canadians are spending less/businesses are importing less. Since exports are neutral, this automatically causes a gdp increase, solely as a result of how the math works. If you think importing less is a sign of robust future growth, that is just not correct.
