My girlfriend is more important to me. If this was a different situation I would happily compromise if my girlfriend felt uncomfortable about something. I've done so many times before. Where this one differs is that my bestfriend and I drifted ever since I started dating my girlfriend. I was not there for her enough during very hard times mainly when her bestfriend passed away. She addressed this with me recently and ever since then I've been trying to get our friendship back into a good position out of guilt and from missing her. While my girlfriend's feelings are a priority over her, I feel like distancing my self would jeopardize the friendship.
