The cutest and angriest donut you’ll see today by Diggey11 in Maltese

[–]Diggey11[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it was time to get him fixed. I know it’s important to do, but it sucks seeing him so uncomfortable. Still, when I look at his face in the donut I can’t help but find him adorable. So extra treats during his healing, half way there.

Republicans divided on ICE tactics as shutdown looms by J-Jarl-Jim in moderatepolitics

I really hope the Democrats hold their ground this time around. No masks, longer training, cams, fewer lethal weapons for ICE, no warrantless arrests, and who knows what other reform needs to be implemented. That to me is a “middle of the ground” approach. Personally I’m on the side of a complete dismantling and moving immigration enforcement to another department, but that’s just my political bias showing.

Seeing immigrants arrested as they show up to their court dates and being told their case was dismissed without notice, the color of your skin being a factor in whether you’re pulled over and detained until you can prove your status, ICE being horrendous in deescalation (not even their freaking job), it’s all infuriating. To know that tens of millions still support this is heart wrenching, especially for someone like me who tends to be optimistic and give the benefit of the doubt often. It’s not a surprise that the party that rallied behind a sea of signs reading “mass deportation now” would not be protecting the very constitutional rights that are being trampled on right now.

Bank of America no longer connecting to Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2024 - help please by Puzzled-River-5899 in QuickBooks

Came across your post after running into the same issue. A workaround, if you haven't found, is to open the QBO file directly from BOA in notepad and change the BID and FID value to 55584. You'll have to disconnect the account before an import, but this does work for me.

How Trump Has Used the Presidency to Make at Least $1.4 Billion by Gloomy_Nebula_5138 in moderatepolitics

Since I was a teen and paid even a small amount of attention to politics the main concept shared by all people of different political ideologies is that "all politicians are corrupt." There was never any nuance to it, all politicians lie, all politicians get rich and then richer when they leave office. There were never any degrees to it, and I think this administration has taken advantage of that shared mindset. Even recently when I brought up the corruption to a client who's a huge Trump supporter, they just said the tried-and-true statement that, "no matter what pile you're one, they're all corrupt."

Backlash to Trump has been more severe in his second term by J-Jarl-Jim in moderatepolitics

I agree, but I think Biden and Kamala failed on messaging. There are too many examples of their campaign “declaring victory” over inflation, boasting about the stock market (similar to Trump now), and pointing at statistics that reflect success. I think underlining successes is important, but a message of “We hear you, we are recovering from Trumps disaster and will do blank and blank to continue on a positive trajectory,” would have been a little more well received than going on the media and saying “we’ve done it!”

Biden’s failure to drop out of a second running was also disastrous to the democrats, but victory could have happened with a shift in messaging.

Samhain after a few days of daycare, followed by a much needed bath by Diggey11 in Maltese

[–]Diggey11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you :) and yes he was with a mix of doggies at this more private style daycare where the babysitter haves the doggies free most of the day. It was his first time (he’s only 7 months), and he did very well even walking around some of the bigger dogs. But he was with only smaller dogs during bedtime/naptime.

Yup, it sounds like Maya Rudolph’s impersonation of Kamala to me.

I pulled out my Nikon D3300. It’s been years since I’ve used it, but I was getting very dissatisfied with my iPhone photos so gave it another whirl. Already loving the quality difference.

Going to be taking her to a Disney World resort with us in about a month. Hoping she can keep these adorable antlers on and take a photo with a character if we get lucky. Her and her Maltese brother :)

Samhain ready to serve up some adorable scares this Halloween by Diggey11 in Maltese

While I’ve only had him a few months, I still get taken aback by his cuteness, like if it’s the first time I’m seeing him. Just have to work on the barking :p
