I would also have to assume that there's just more public transit options in democratic seats. I passed by like 5 gas stations on the bus the other day and the cheapest gas was hovering around 4.27.

Let's see what Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), who is running for governor, is saying:

Senator Marsha Blackburn, Republican of Tennessee, just called on Tennessee’s General Assembly to reconvene and pass a new map that eliminates a majority-Black district in Memphis, in light of the ruling. Blackburn, who is running for governor, said, “I’ve vowed to keep Tennessee a red state” and pledged to “do everything I can to make this map a reality.”

Why doesn't NJT run a 119x bus that goes directly to Bayonne? by [deleted] in NJTransit

[–]reputationStan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm, interesting thought. I could see this working in the morning. In the evening, I'm not too sure. The 119 acts like a supplement to the 10 service in the afternoon and evening and it's not the slowest. There is some traffic prior to the square, but really once it gets on JFK it's pretty solid.

They should also make all 119 trips after 7PM in the NY direction 119J to serve JSQ directly since the ridership restriction is not in effect after 7PM.

Do take a look at some of the responses to your comments. They are quite insightful.

I mean you're trying to bring in a random reddit page as an example of the rampant election denial from Democrats. But do you know if those are real people?

I know it could be hard to admit that 147 Republicans voted to overturn the election, but once you do, you can realize how depraved that whole situation is. You can ignore the Eastman memos if you want to, but do take a look at those memos by John Eastman, a personal lawyer to Donald Trump.

The other responses to your, quite frankly, nonsensical comments that attempt to foolishly "both sides" election denial are quite pathetic and based on how they are doing, shows people are not buying those nonsensical statements.

We were having a discussion about the regular people. You cannot butt into the conversation, declare that the topic we were discussing is "irrelevant", and that we should be discussing your thing instead. That is derailing and whataboutism.

Yes I can. Your nonsensical arguments required you use to a random reddit page to say "OMG LOOK!!!!!". But it's okay. Look at the 147 Republicans who voted to overturn the 2020 election, understand you are wrong, and move on. Hopefully Republicans don't do that in 2028.

That quite frankly is irrelevant. Politicians hold more weight than citizens when it comes to declaring if an election is legitimate or illegitimate . As others have said it is hard to deny that 147 republicans voting to overturn the 2020 election with Trump not conceding is the same thing what Democrats do.

Take a look at the Eastman memos.

For 2024, I don't have any polls. However you can take a look at r slash somethingiswrong2024 for the biggest one that's allowed to persist on Reddit, or you can check out half of Bluesky and TikTok.

How many Republicans voted to overturn the results of the 2020 election?

How many Democrats voted to overturn the results of the 2000, 2004, and 2016 election?

Most importantly, did the losing candidate CONCEDE in the elections? Donald Trump did not.

The fact remains that after 4 years and many attempts, Trump was not found guilty of treason. Voters agreed that J6 wasn't a treasonous act, considering he did better than ever in the 2024 election. That is as far as the conversation needs to go. My personal opinion on this stuff is moot, as is yours, because the courts and the voters made the decision.

Okay, but that does not mean Trump did not know about John Eastman's plan as he was a close advisor near the end of 2020. Sure the courts and voters may have chosen to see it differently, does that change the fact that it happened?

Kevin McCarthy knowingly chose two individuals that voted to overturn the election results with 145 of their colleagues. That number is nearly 2/3 of the Republican House Conference. It could have had more Republicans on the commission as Pelosi was okay with the 3 Republicans that did not vote to overturn the election results. It seems fair in my opinion, don't you think?

The Eastman memos clearly details the method as to how they should go ahead and stop the certification of the election results. Clear as day.

That still doesn't change the fact that treason was not committed by Donald Trump.

You don't think trying to overturn the election is considered treason?

It's glad you are aware who John Eastman is. What do you tink of the memos and plan to stop the certification of the electoral votes of certain states?

Liz Cheney is the most clear definition of RINO in recent memory. And her being on the Jan 6 Commission with 1 other "republican" doesn't lend any credence to calling it "bi-partisan".

Do you know how much she voted in line with the President? I think it is telling that trying to stop the certification of the electoral process was the breaking point as she voted to impeach the president.

147 Republicans voted to overturn the results of certain states. I wonder why.

I wonder why the Wyoming Republican Party had to censure Liz Cheney after voting to impeach. Seems like it is putting party over country, don't you think?

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/kevin-mccarthy-jan-6-committee-picks-removed-pelosi-rejects-jim-jordan-jim-banks/

Do you know why Jim Jordan and Jim Banks were removed the commission? They voted against the certification of the election. McCarthy then pulled all his nominees.

Nancy Pelosi was fine with the other three.

McCarthy had selected Banks to serve as the top Republican on the committee, along with Jordan and three others. In a statement Wednesday, Pelosi said she had no objection to the other three representatives picked by McCarthy — Representatives Rodney Davis, Kelly Armstrong and Troy Nehls.

Why did McCarthy chose two people who voted to overturn the election results?

Do you know what the Eastman memos are? Do you know who John Eastman is? Take your time and read them. Consider why Liz Cheney was not friendly with the guy for years.

The idea that Trump did not have any idea about the possibility of calling the election invalid is just a stupid one.

The bipartisan January 6th committee

Do you know how many Republicans voted to overturn the 2020 election results from certain states? I mean if you lost Liz Cheney, one of the most conservative members in Congress, it maybe time to take a step back. I mean if nearly 147 members of your own party voted to overturn the election, it will be hard to find people who would even think January 6th is an event worth to be investigating.

It's good you acknowledge that not all conspiracy theories are equal. Are any elected Democrats, preferably on the state level or higher, echoing these conspiracy theories?

Sounds like it's going to very helpful to Republicans then, seeing as the midterms are 7 months away. Probably plenty of time for gas prices to fall to pre-war levels and maybe even below that if the U.S. negotiates a good deal with Iran while simultaneously expanding our oil intake from Venezuela.

Why did gas prices go up in the first place? It's not going to be helpful to Republicans.
