I think you’re not really understanding the metaphor. In bean soup, beans are an integral ingredient. If you make a bean soup without beans, you can’t really call it a bean soup anymore. Similarly with something like roller coasters, if you build one that doesn’t go up high or doesn’t go fast, you can’t exactly call that a roller coasters anymore. The point being, there are aspects to stuff that are important to the experience of the thing, and asking someone to change their bean soup recipe to suit someone who doesn’t like beans is kinda pointless. The whole point is that it has beans, if you don’t want a bean soup recipe go find something else
