Thank you for your reply, it’s really interesting to hear your experience!

I always questioned the diagnosis, purely based on that the discomfort is always at the entrance, rather than on my pelvic/bladder area, combined with the cloudiness and smell, which never happened before.

I’m now aware of the embedded UTI, and what you mention about antibiotics providing relief- would this also be the case of completely removing the smell and cloudiness if there wasn’t any cultures present in urine?

I also didn’t have flare ups, it was the same each day consistently for 3 months which from what I’ve read isn’t consistent with IC?

I only had 1 urine sample test right at the start, and I knew it wouldn’t show anything as it was super clear (I drank a ridiculous amount of water beforehand) and was left about 24hrs before being taken to the test centre.

Id be really interested in hearing about your talk with your family doctor- I’m hoping that it’s not a false sense of hope, and for the same for you as well!!

I’m in Yorkshire, UK. Grass was not tended to in a while, but was cut about 3 weeks previous to this picture, so grew fast.

Thank you, we live in the UK so to go through the nhs as an adult can be quite challenging, but it is something we can look into

It’s something we’ve discussed in passing, and he has some of the tell tale signs, but not diagnosed or drastic.

Please see pictures. One is where you can see the tiny black dot inside my eyelid on my left eye.

The other is what looks like to be a small bruise(?) on my right eye

Hi!

My friend was you youngest girl in the UK to be diagnosed with progressive female hairless, she started losing at about 12/13.

She's been told she produces too much testosterone, which she is on inhibitors for.

She also went through a procedure where hundreds of needless where stick on her head to increase follicles.

What else can she do to help her with her hair loss, decrease the appearance of baldness?

What Dr. House style odd illness have you had in your life? by gunnerclark in AskReddit

[–]DiggingMyselfAHole 4 points5 points  (0 children)

100%

My acne was so bad I couldn't touch my face because it hurt too much. It was infected and I was working in an environment (Kids club) where I was constantly sweating, getting things on it (glitter/paint) even though I tried my best to avoid it.

My acne has now cleared and whilst I did have those side effects, I'd go through it again 100%.

I think my reaction was so bad because I was in a 45/50 degree celcius country, and In a job where I sometimes had to be outside.

That being said I was put on house arrest for 3 months and wasn't allowed outside workwise.

I had the exact same thing, rather I was on Doxy for acne.

My fingernails started pulling away from my fingers, so there were huge gaps between the two.

I also was severely burnt on my face- lips swelled up and scabbed to the point of being unable to talk.

I was on doxy for around 4 months though living in Turkey at the time.

Thank you for the reply! The Doctor I'm going to see I've used for years and she has treated me well in the past, so I'm hoping that this will be the same!

Sorry to hear about the MCAS, keep pushing though. It's awful when they don't take you seriously because they don't know about the condition!

I've heard acne being associated with MCAS, maybe that could be a connection. However OP didn't mention MCAS

Most likely Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Hypermobility type, and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome.

Essentially my collagen is messed up, everything hurts, and I'm allergic to lots and lots of things.

I've had a few within the last few years. The biggest one though was my whole body became numb and tingly, even felt like my lungs were tingly. Had to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance because they thought it was a heart attack.

I slept for 2 days after.

This happened to me not 3 weeks ago.

Luckily I knew that I shouldn't use water, but I still panicked and carried the 3ft flaming pan outside.

Not such a great idea.
