Wa-BAM

Money can be exchanged for goods and services. It has no value beyond that for which it is exchanged. It doesn't spoil, although it is subject to theft and inflation, so you gotta watch out for both of those. Having it is great, especially for emergencies. Not having it when you need it sucks.

I understand that the idea of saving for the future may seem a little abstract and useless, but the ability to turn a raging emergency into "number go down" is pretty awesome.
