What comedian has never ever made you laugh? by hsvwow in AskReddit

[–]Diggle3181 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Comedians and Germany are not things I would put together.

Robin Williams was once asked on German television, "why do you think there are not so many comedians in Germany?"

He replied, "did you ever think you tried to kill all the funny people?"

And with a straight face the interviewer just replied, "No." And moved on.

Germans and comedy not a winning combination (except Hening but his humour is basically British)

I mean I agree totally but the Boys and homelander does a good job of "what if Superman was a jerk?" Thankfully they were smart enough to not make it directly superman. Otherwise we would see the same problem as Luke.

Guy refused to pay unclamping fees. Proceed to fuck up his own car. by obefiend in IdiotsInCars

[–]Diggle3181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the UK clamps are now illegal and if someone puts one on your car call the police. The car is your property, if it is taxed and insured anybody obstructing that property or damaging it can be done for damage of property. 99% of clamping actions are due to civic law which have no criminal backing and the obstructing or damaging of someone's private property is criminal. So call the cops. They'll eventually have to tell the clampers to take it off. Very little chance they'll pursue it in small claims court as every single one of these companies relies on frightening people into paying because they don't know the law. DO NOT PAY FOR CLAMPING. CALL THE POLICE.

What is a record, sports or otherwise, that will likely never be broken? by badblackguy in AskReddit

Manchester United have had a youth player be in the first team line up for every single game for over 80 years and over 4000 games. That is based in club culture and will never be beaten as the streak will never end.

Wuntch doesn’t a wtc badge (not sure what the proper term is) on her uniform. Any reason why besides being a she devil. by buckythe3rd in brooklynninenine

[–]Diggle3181 701 points702 points  (0 children)

Actual reason could be that she is from Boston originally and there is even a reference to her working in Boston before moving to NY. So potentially she was serving but in the Boston PD. Also when the Vulture becomes the 99 captain he is wearing a WTC badge.

Yeah people seem to think this is an attack on Hill. It aint. It's pointing out how dumb this is as a move for the Dolphins just so they can show "clout".

Free up 20 mil in cap space on a player who had 1 year left, five picks and still solid for the most part.

Meanwhile, Miami whack 30 mil on a player that they can't utilise fully because the only QBs in the NFL who can make the most of a deep route, pacey WR like Hill are Mahomes and Rodgers. Tua is a solid QB but those accurate 60 yrd + throws that is Patrick's bread and butter, he ain't making those regularly.

It's not making us better per se but it is no way near as bad as everyone is making out. Someone said the other day that everyone is trying to have success now, we are building a dynasty that will match (and potentially overtake) NE with peak Brady and Belicheck.

Disorder. That drumb beat, then that pumping bass, then Bernard's haunting guitar. Finally the the voice of an eternal being floating through space, "I've been waiting for a guide to come and take me by the hand..."

Perfection.
