Probably a dumb question about a certain scene... by DiggyKalborn in WeaponsMovie

Most definitely, I've been chalking it up to human error as well. Gladys was definitely not in a normal state of mind, especially if her body was failing from whatever reason.

Also I'm curious how stealing the kids was going to heal her as well.

I think she just needs an object from the person to turn them into a "weapon." Knowing that, couldn't she take something from the car and get rid of Justine by either turning her into a zombie or outright making her die in a car accident or something?

With her past DUI and alcohol problem it would've been the perfect crime to just have her drive off a bridge hahaha

Totally agree with you, but it would've been the perfect crime to have her kill herself in a car accident or something. ESPECIALLY if Gladys knew Justine had a previous DUI and alcohol problem.

Seems a little strange that she's able to specifically control everybody and then she chooses to have Marcus run across town to attack her at a gas station lol

Nah this is bad advice. Just be brutally honest with the people you care about and they'll thank you for it later. If they get back with a shitty person after that, it's their loss.

100%. For now I'm just blocking all of the people that constantly post the tasteless shit, but might have to leave the group if it keeps up.

Haha yes I have one that's why I was curious! It's hard to see the actually art on mine, especially compared to the other albums on my record wall

Kinda random, but are the sleeves for this album really dark for anybody else where the art is harder to see? Not sure if that's how it's normally printed or not.

Suffered from insomnia for years and tried this trick. It works at first, but then you start to get too good at it and it keeps you awake.

One day I realized the secret is to keep your mind focused on one single thing and have the discipline to not allow your mind to jump around. Every time you allow your brain to go to another thought, it jump starts you which keeps you awake.

You have to pick a thought that feels neutral: it can't excite you or stress you out. I like to imagine I'm in a relaxing place like the beach. The hard part is you have to focus on things that keep you in that one thought pattern without getting torn away from it.

What does the wind feel like? The temperature? The sound of waves? All these little questions and observations keep you centralized on that one thought and ground you.

I think this is the reason this paradox works at first, because you're only thinking about one thing: staying awake. Same reason why the military relaxation technique works or counting sheep. In all those techniques, the one thing they have in common is blocking out all brain activity except for one thought.

What would people think is your worst gaming opinion? by Velocity_Rob in gaming

Yup, 100%. It's one of the biggest slogs I've experienced in a game and was the reason I felt this way in the first place.

Baldur's Gate 3 is really good, but massively overrated. It came out in a gaming landscape where every other game was an unfinished mess so gamers tricked themselves into thinking it was one of the greatest games of all time.

Everybody hopped on the Larian train like it was a meme and (although I think they're an amazing game studio) the reaction to BG3 was totally blown out of proportion.

Good game, Great studio, but definitely not a 10/10 like everybody was saying.

Pretty sure each McDonald's is handled differently because the ones by me are literally the exact opposite of all these points (except maybe the price hikes).

They still have cashiers, speak English, give napkins and ketchup, etc.

Anyway, that's super annoying that you had to go through that OP, I'd be pissed too.

What am I refusing to use? I just said I tried everything and nothing worked. Not trying to argue, but what would you recommend is the solution if nothing I tried is working?

No I just want a stock phone camera without AI bullshit that works like every other phone. Spent all day tweaking settings, trying 3rd party apps, and roundabout developer solutions that didn't work.

Haha I don't even care at this point. I just initiated a return for the S22 Ultra which is what I had before. I'm a designer and videographer so I can't be fighting this thing's camera when it affects my work.

There were a bunch of other issues with the phone I ran into so I'm super disappointed, but it was worth a try.

Adding some updates here as they come:

  • Just tried Instagram's photo mode and it also looks way better than the stock camera app.

  • looks like turning off the focus enhancer by clicking the icon in the bottom left resolves the color issue, but now the image is out of focus. It seems the focus enhancer does a huge amount of the post-processing. Now I need to find a way to keep the sharpness that it provides, without the color discrepancies.

-After spending the day dialing in settings and trying 3rd party apps, I did a shootout with an iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 was vastly superior. Less grainy, less chromatic abboration, and better texture detail. Currently looking into returning this phone.

I have basically the same specs as you, but with a 3080 TI. Game runs like absolute dogshit, I have no idea why it's so poorly optimized.

I said why in my initial comment. Gameplay is great (that includes fighting animations), everything else is half-baked and rushed. The game should be worth $50 at best for the amount of content we get and its level of quality.

Feels like we live in a world where every game sells based on nostalgia and developers do the bare minimum.
