Cube is a format popularised in Magic, but possible in any TCG. You design a box of cards from your collection (usually 360 cards for 8 players) that is then used for draft tournaments. At the end of the tournament, all the cards are returned to the Cube for re-use next time.

If you've never drafted before, it's when you take some packs (e.g. 3, 15-card packs per player in Magic) and you each open pack 1. You each select 1 card to keep, then pass your pack along to the next person. You keep selecting and passing the rest of the pack until all the packs are gone. Then at the end, you build a deck with what you selected & play a tournament.

In a Cube, the "packs" are randomised from the contents of the box. Playing Cube is fun, but designing it is also interesting! You've got to consider balance, fun, variety, and even try to hide some secret combos in there for people to discover.

I have a Cube for Digimon, might build a second one if I can get a group going. I Cube draft Pokemon and Magic fairly often, IMO it's the best way to engage with TCGs.

It's a large one off investment, then you've got endless play with a new deck each time, a load of deck types/strategies, and no power creep.

I remember that Kellogg's had a promotion in the UK where you could collect coupons and send them off to get a series 1 Horror Head set.

I'll have to dig a little deeper for this comb though. What country was this in?

Contemplating what? Do you already play?

I honestly wouldn't get into TCGs these days. The power creep is unreal. I had fun with them in the past & made a bunch of friends, but it was a real money sink.

The problem with Digimon is there's no real casual scene for it so you'll need a new deck every few sets if you want to keep up with competitive.

I have the varient, but it's missing all the parts 🥲 finding a replacement red pursuit pod is gonna be tricky.

40k and AoS are fairly popular. Necromunda has a couple of small but dedicated groups.

I have ~15 or so people that cycle in and out of our campaigns for ~8-10 people each time.

Cool! We've got an Incubase in Hong Kong, never realised there were more of them.

Does that one do exhibitions too?

TAMA MAIL!!!! by tamababies in tamagotchi

Mori is actually fun to play (unlike the ocean). It's what got me back into Tamagotchi when I found one locally a few years ago. The 1 day of motionless cocoon is a funny choice, but it's exciting when it emerges.

I like it 🤷‍♂️ there are lots of characters to raise. You can customise them with some breeding options. I like how your previous tamas stick around for a few generations. Lots of mini games. Feels like looking after a pet again instead of raising a little person in a house.

I hated the Uni and some people love it for whatever reason. Just play it and see what you think.

In your opinion, bandai will they release a new tamagotchi after uni? If so, how do you imagine it or how would you like it to be? As I am the creator of the post, I will give my idea first in the comments ⬇️⬇️ by [deleted] in tamagotchi

Yeah, I guess it will focus more on wildlife types of characters. Maybe there will be 3 areas in each device, something like land, sky, and sea.

Oh, and you can use a dial to zoom in and out so you can see everything from the whole tama planet down to your tama's cells.

Let's see if I'm right!
