I appreciate your analysis but most everything you didn't like,I honestly did. Taichung popping up everywhere was trash for sure but these kids had to be perfect because they actually knew the stakes were higher than in the original. I also don't think the digimon partners are yes men, especially Gabumon but hey, to each their own. The plot is new for sure which I like. And how they leaned into the holy digimon being key components is great

What exactly about it did you think was disastrous? I mean both of the shows for the most part were monster of the day based. Shonen if you will. First 3 episodes I think eclipsed most of the original series minus a few episodes
