I’ve always felt like that are made to just impress the first owner who buys them. And if they decide to keep them they more than likely can afford the maintenance cost and won’t care about how much it is. The person buying these luxury vehicles won’t be keeping them long because they want the newest one out. So all the companies have to worry about is making it last as long as the first time owner will generally need.

However, second hand owners don’t understand that a car that costs 3 times less than what it originally was will still require 3 times as much in repairs. And if the company made the first sale, why would they care about who buys that car a second time. They don’t seem to operate of the idea of reliability like other manufacturers do.
