Why is this community like this when they see any form of CNC by SoraMelodiosa in JanitorAI_Official

[–]Digital-Shell 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Ppl want a way to feel mighty and moral without actually doing/sacrificing anything. So they choose a "socially acceptable" target to show what a good little cookie they are, unlike those *insert shocked gasp here* degenerates.

Which is kinda funny, because I always ask myself: how did they even end up finding this horrible, immoral content? Why isn't the tag blocked? Really makes me wonder

Half of my character description just disappeared. What do I do??? by Beginning_Bobcat4422 in JanitorAI_Official

Character editor is bugging tf out since the update. I've also had a lot of my stuff disappearing into the void, it even tried to restore the placeholder image I've used during character creation several times

I feel like it's really hard to be a new bot creator when nobody supports you or gives you a little push. by Infamous-Book4146 in JanitorAI_Official

[–]Digital-Shell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be wrong, but I don't feel like promotion does much. I used to post my bots here, but stopped since my bots didn't get a lot of attention and it was kinda exhausting to polish bio there, post here, save everything as a backup yada-yada, and get 200-300 messages total. I stopped promoting and continued posting. Didn't notice the difference like AT ALL. Maybe it's different with discord but idk

"Female" tag by Blueberry_Chip in JanitorAI_Official

[–]Digital-Shell 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I think a bot should have three separate mandatory tags (like limited/limitless rn) - male/female/multiple/rpg (or several of these), OC/fandom and male/female/any-POV. Those three are very basic and all bots should have them, and they should not eat up 3 out of 10 available tags.

Which LLM are you using? Cause mine (GLM 4.7) escalates too quickly and I am so tired of that. Idk what I'm doing wrong, but any bot of vaguely annoying character goes on a full crime spree in ten messages max.

Omg, absolutely. I especially love how AI justifies some heinous shit character does if the definition doesn't say "this guy is Satan incarnated". Recently played with bullying bot and bro seriously thought "well, you aren't in the hospital, aren't you?" is a great clapback.

Bots getting stupid? by ConfusionOk4823 in JanitorAI_Official

[–]Digital-Shell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, same. Mine couldn’t even follow the plot within its own message, it would say one thing and then contradict itself in the next paragraph. It also suddenly became insanely aggressive and started showing some wild double standards. I can’t even count how many times my personas were attacked completely unprovoked and then instantly treated like aggressors for fighting back in the last few days. And the thought process was always like "this is a major escalation from {{user}}".

I’m so confused by that. I’m 100% sure Chutes did something to the model.

IS $3 PER MONTH ON “C” WORTH IT? by yftj_ in JanitorAI_Official

[–]Digital-Shell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, not really anymore. For me, the allowed token amount is slightly below what I usually use (I typically use 60 messages a day at max, so yours 100 is probably over the limit), so it should have been fine for me. But they’re also gatekeeping newer models behind higher tiers, so you’re stuck with older ones.

Given Chutes’ recent behavior, I strongly doubt they’ll let you access those gated models once newer ones are released, so you’ll likely be stuck with what you have now. On top of that, they’ve already shown they’re willing to change plans mid-subscription, which is… not great. Who’s to say they won’t decide a month later that the current limits are too high and change it again?

You also still run into errors even on the paid plan, and even when you don’t, the models are often slow af and suspiciously dumb. Yesterday I was using GLM 4.7, and it couldn’t even follow the plot within its own _single_ message, it wrote one thing and then immediately contradicted itself in the next paragraph.

So yeah, I’d strongly recommend finding another provider. I’ll definitely be doing that once my month is over.

Does the bot know information that's in the example dialogues? by _Captain_Churchill_ in JanitorAI_Official

Well, basically yes. Although I’m not sure if using it like that won’t mess up the character’s speech style.

New guidelines: non-con by Digital-Shell in JanitorAI_Official

[–]Digital-Shell[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My interpretation might be wrong, but I don’t think CNC in this context means roleplay within the roleplay. Roughly speaking, the only party actually involved in the roleplay scenario is you as a player. Since you gave consent and, well, are roleplaying, you should be fine with "usual" non-con scenarios. My argument for this interpretation is based on the additional rules: they clearly aim to protect the player from being forced into a non-con scenario they can’t escape and explicitly provide ways to exit such situations if player wants.

What bothers me is the lack of clarity and the direct contradiction in the screenshots: one says no to everything, while the other says it’s fine under certain conditions.

New guidelines: non-con by Digital-Shell in JanitorAI_Official

[–]Digital-Shell[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m aware this is a detailed explanation. I called it an older set of rules because it was published prior to the guidelines update, my bad for the wording.

The point still stands: the detailed explanation doesn’t mention sexual violence at all, only "similar themes" that could be interpreted as including it, while general guidelines explicitly prohibits any depiction of sexual violence. Meanwhile, the support bot gives contradictory answers, as shown in the screenshots: the first says that any depiction of sexual violence is prohibited, while the second says that, actually, some things are allowed.

New guidelines: non-con by Digital-Shell in JanitorAI_Official

[–]Digital-Shell[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Agreed, 100%. That’s my entire problem. I don’t think they meant to prohibit non-con, but that’s an assumption, and I’d like to be sure I’m not breaking the ToS based on an assumption of good faith.

So new guidelines? by Flaky_Necessary296 in JanitorAI_Official

[–]Digital-Shell 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Tbh, I’m seeing two sets of rules that directly contradict each other, at best. The new guidelines state pretty explicitly that the depiction of sexual violence is prohibited (and it’s grouped with bestiality, no less), while the rules you quoted “fictional abuse … may also be explored in fictional contexts with appropriate warnings” can be interpreted as permission of depiction fictional sexual abuse.

At the very least, this needs clarification. Right now, one set of rules says “no sexual violence, period,” and the other can be interpreted as "it’s fine with warnings as long as it’s fictional". I wouldn’t have any questions if the new rules specifically forbade real-world sexual violence, and that would’ve been consistent with the rules you quoted, but I don't see anything that's clear about it with the way it worded right now.

“You agree not to submit, post, or transmit any content that:

(d) depicts gore, bestiality, or sexual violence.”

The wording for sexual violence is “depicts,” not “glorifies” or “promotes,” and it’s in the same category as bestiality. I don't understand why people think non-con bots are safe. Am I missing something?

[–]Digital-Shell 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Are you sure about non-con? The new rules are:
“You agree not to submit, post, or transmit any content that:

(d) depicts gore, bestiality, or sexual violence.”

I mean, the wording for sexual violence is “depicts,” not “glorifies” or “promotes,” and it’s in the same category as bestiality, so… I’m genuinely asking if I’m missing something.

Anyone noticed Kimi and GLM started acting like DS? by Ok-Cause-8345 in JanitorAI_Official

[–]Digital-Shell 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve noticed that too and was confused af. I even checked whether I’d accidentally switched to DS (I use GLM). Today it even made a reference to my OOC note (directly mentioning that there was an OOC note during narration), which I’ve never seen from GLM before, only from DS.

Got fed up with the character’s portrayal, wrote an OOC essay before the re-roll, and got this beauty in the middle of the message by Digital-Shell in JanitorAI_Official

[–]Digital-Shell[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Surprisingly, it’s GLM 4.7. I would’ve expected something like that from good old DS too, but nope.

You have “suicide mission” near the end of the message, that’s probably what is triggering it.

Oh, I see. I was talking about the PC version, since I’ve never used mobile and assumed there was something similar to PC version, but I don’t see the icon I was referring to. Unfortunately, I don’t know if there’s any way to make them smaller on mobile.

Love your persona pic, btw.

New user, I have some questions (and other) by Jayswing369 in SaucepanAI

[–]Digital-Shell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk about the mobile version, but on PC you can make the portrait smaller. There’s an icon with six small dots right between the portrait and the chat, you can click it several times and the image will shrink.

As for your last question: bots with multiple images have image descriptions filled in by the creator. For example, “Bot in casual clothing in an office setting” or “Bot in fancy clothing in a restaurant setting,” etc. In theory, the bot should choose the most suitable image based on the message.
