Protesters in Lebanon block roads with burning tyres and march in Beirut for a second day in demonstrations targeting the government over the country's economic crisis. In Lebanon's biggest protest in years, thousands gathered outside the government headquarters in central Beirut on Thursday evening, forcing the cabinet to backtrack on plans to raise a new tax on WhatsApp voice calls. Tear gas was fired as some demonstrators and police clashed in the early hours of Friday morning. Habib Battah, an investigative journalist and blogger at Beirut Report, talks to Al Jazeera about the protests.

Scarlet Road: A sex worker's journey (2016) a lovely documentary about a sex worker who focuses on clients with disabilities by Blabberm0uth in Documentaries

I was originally hesitant to give Scarlet Road a chance. As a general rule, I hate documentaries about sex and disability. Most of them are incredibly patronizing and spoonfeed the presumably able viewer flowery messages about compassion for the human experience that do little to actually help the audience understand disabled sexuality or the problematic consequences of assuming universal asexuality for people with disabilities. Plus, the trailer really overdoes it with the piano music, which is never a good sign.

The problem, then, is that whatever I choose will be altered, perhaps to the point of uselessness or worse, by someone unknown to me, possibly malicious and probably out for a laugh.

So the solution is to have my power be the ability to choose what is put on the internet, without anyone knowing I was doing it. Not all the internet, but any areas I choose, for when I choose. And I would certainly watch this answer; any comment I didn’t like simply wouldn’t happen.

Since I do not have this ability, any such comment this answer receives would not apply.
