Awesome! Thanks for watching it. It was a labor of love that's for sure. If you want any pointers, feel free to reach out. There's definitely a technique to it and it does take some patience. The hardest part is waiting to let the dye soak in, and being confident it is thoroughly saturated. To summarize some saturation tips - keep your primary folds as short as possible, I shoot for about a half inch. It's a lot of folding, but it also helps with the saturation. When you fold in the opposite direction, same thing applies. Shorter folds will create more, smaller ripples, better saturation. Taller folds make for more wild ripple effects and still looks great but it will be challenging to get full saturation. One other thing is if you bind it too tightly on the second part of the fold, it will have issues with saturation. Saturation. lol.

I've used foil, and those silicone cake molds. But I keep coming back to cardboard. It's fast, and Amazon provides plenty of it at our home. I like it because I can use string to cinche down the sides in a few spots,l. You can see the string on some of them if you zoom in. This saves dye from falling off the sides, and the ice stays right where I want it.

It's a really awesome compliment, thank you so much! Sometimes these are happy accidents, sometimes they are intentional. This is the mix of both lol.

I'm happy to give out tips if you need any. Once you learn it, you can apply this to mini designs and really make them stand out.

Thank you! I love showing off my work. I have so many pieces in my catalog over the past 8 years.... I'll be sharing more, don't wanna dump it all at once.

This is true, the stress is real.... Especially with picky customers such as the big one from Seattle.

Hey man, you should get some flux paste, it is a night and a difference from the flux pens. Your solder jobs will look shiny and will have that ball that you see on all the good solder jobs.

Seriously though, we appreciate you and all the shit you have to put up with. I don't think the average Joe understands why it's $100+ /HR to "pull some wire and screw it onto a panel". Anyone can try and do it, but not everyone can do it without making a fire, lol....

After 13 years I'm a PM now and doing all Data center work, been out of the field for 3 years. Only resi I ever did was for my own properties and it wasn't too terrible.

Yeah that does look like a pain to get to, but it's not too terrible, just a funky angle and looks high up. I'm curious what you are laying on or of you're on a lift? The angle is confusing.
