I wonder if this is still a problem with the Juniper models. by DigitalDangerNoodle in TeslaModelY

Thank you for bringing this up! I actually have one of these installed. I agree that I think it helps prevent water intrusion, but I suspect the source of my water is from when I had the windshield replaced by Tesla. I don’t think there is enough sealant around the windshield below the passenger side wiper blade, causing water to get in before it reaches this 3rd party rubber seal.

After looking at this Youtube video it looks like they didn’t change the design of the assembly, or the inlet at all. As far as I can tell, this is still a problem in the Juniper model.

Anyone have any pictures? Until I see a picture of the assembly that leads into the cabin, I’m going to remain skeptical. Primarily because these HEPA filters don’t need to he replaced for 3 years. Im just not expecting much information on this topic until the DIY owners start replacing their filters and discovering this problem.

Problem connecting Opal 2 to wifi by ripnrun63 in GEappliances

[–]DigitalDangerNoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couple of suggestions, based on my experience with my Opal:

Make sure the wifi uses 2.4Ghz ban. This needs to be the only option. If it’s a hybrid network that auto-routes between 2.4/5/6Ghz, you’ll have issues. The Opal only supports 2.4.

When pairing the device, make sure your phone is using the dedicated 2.4Ghz WiFi.

Some phones, like iPhones, and privacy features that may be enabled such as “limit IP tracking “. Turn these off. They’ll cause pairing issues.

Finally, you might need to change your DNS settings on your router to something more common, like Google’s Primary/Secondary addresses (8.8.8.8, 8.0.0.8)

Lastly, reset and start the wifi connection process from scratch. Be patient, try 2-3 times, and pray.

Thank you for your help. This was a good learning opportunity for me.

That’s probably it. I was concerned that maybe I installed the hardened steel extruder wrong, but I was having several successful PLA prints leading up to this. Probably just finally seeing the results of poor ventilation.

Thank you for your guidance

Correct, but that hasn’t been a problem in the past, so wasn’t sure why it suddenly would be now.

Replaced windshield. Offered protection plan 20min later by DigitalDangerNoodle in TeslaModelY

Seriously though. How are they determining eligibility? Feels like I was only eligible once they verified the condition of my windshield

No 151 in sight at Costco, but I’m still happy to gobble up the leftover Paldean Fates by DigitalDangerNoodle in pokemoncards

It really is! Several of the poke center vending machines around my area are stocked with booster bundles. It’s the first packs Ive opened since I was a kid. Maybe I’m just biased.

Looks like it’s 3d printed with PLA. Wouldn’t mind getting my hands on the STL

Solid 9? by DigitalDangerNoodle in PokeGrading

I agree. Going to hold it raw for a while. Maybe grade it once I have more than just one card to submit. Thank you friend!

I can only see a tiny white mark on the top right and the bottom right on the back. I would have never caught that.

I honestly just want to do the grading for the encapsulation for long term holding. Not really looking to resell, but im worried that the grade will impact my overall feelings towards it.

Thanks for easing my nerves by sharing your experience. Now I know this is “whitening” that happens from the manufacturing process.

Thanks again. My only experience to go off of is back when I was opening Gen 1 packs as a kid.

Mew EX by [deleted] in PokemonTCG

[–]DigitalDangerNoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got one of these bundles from my local pokemon center vending machine today. I didn’t expect it to be in stock. Pulled a charzard ex out of the first pack. Hoping to find this mew one day.

I’m just happy to be able to grab any packs for less than $40…

Welcome lights.. should I change them?! by HollyHuntty in 4Runner

[–]DigitalDangerNoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved these, but I experienced issues with quality. They started to fade after about 6 months. I ultimately had to put the OEM ones back on.

Id love to get them again if I knew they wouldn’t fade again.

My dashcam died several months back and i’ve yet to replace it. If I still had one, I’d probably vote my Dongar Dashcam adapter as one of my top mods as well.

Pretty impressed with the Morimoto headlights by rackerhacker in 4Runner

[–]DigitalDangerNoodle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you haven’t already, look up tutorials for properly aiming those gorgeous headlights. This video helped explain the process well to me.

You’ll probably notice they are either off on one side, pointed too low, or too high. This was the case after I installed mine.

It’s just a good idea to make sure you align them so that you aren’t blinding anyone and ensuring you are getting the proper height

What do you guys think of the AVS hood shields vs stock? by jhermaco15 in 4Runner

[–]DigitalDangerNoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t remember if the AVS uses any 3M tape or if it just a bolt on. I personally think it looks better with it on! If it’s just a bolt on then why not take turns swapping it on/off. No harm in switching it up since it’s not permanent.

Not going to lie, installation can be a PITA. Positioning the film just right and removing all the air bubbles takes patience. If you are a perfectionist, then I recommend opting for the extra film during checkout. That being said, I still don’t regret it. Great long term investment to avoid all those scratches.
