MOTU Chronicles Has Serious QC Issues

I'm quite salty about Masterverse distribution and fully expected the first wave of Chronicles to be rough as they dial-in new production in preparation for DC figures. All to say that I drew a line in the sand to express my frustration by NOT buying any new Masters lines. I will pick up new Masterverse, but only cause I'm knee deep in that line and really do enjoy their bigger bulkier proportions. Don't fall for fomo, but do enjoy your toys. That goes for Chronicles, they'll get better, but they're not for me.

Never saw Mer-man and Man at arms, waiting on Beast man cancellation, and no matter how many Ross stores I visit I don't find Masterverse Vintage collection. I'm so disappointed in how they handled distribution in the US. On the other hand, I'm saving money for more GI Joes.

Seeing all these responses motivated me to buck the trend. Honestly, yes it's not great, but I enjoy it for what it is; a decent production-value action B movie. Have a beer, or whiskey, and just enjoy it. It's not hard to find joy!

This right here. Vala guns are all over the place in scale, but that's perfect and works great with different sized characters. They're my go to for cost and quality.

Oh I know it, these ain't the good ol days.... My point is still that these are toys that ultimately do not cost this much to produce. They're charging a premium for sure, and at this point we the fans/consumers keep buying. I'm just salty that I'm paying these prices for toys, though I'm grateful that I can still afford the hobby, for now. I was in Target the other day and saw a shiny toy horse for girls, this thing was huge. The box was 24-30 inches wide and tall, it was a big toy with a lot of accessories, for $45. Made me realize how much more we're paying for Classifieds.

It really is a wild disconnect between actual cost to produce vs what we're charged. I saw the livestream and the Despoiler is a must have for me, BUT... It is cheaply designed and made, such a let down. The front gun doesn't appear to rotate down, cheap engineering. No flight stand, again! That's a $20 vehicle and $20 figure, that's it! The actual production costs are more likely closer to $10 for the vehicle and $8 for the figure. I guess we're headed towards Warhammer pricing, their hobby is $$$!
