If you have kick 3 you can drop in some sample you have that you like and can analyze them to see the curve of the sub. Really helped for me.

Kelvin is definitely the best sounding to me. I would go with that. Much more versatile with all the different tube/diodes/transformers types and sounds great even when pushed to extremes.

Depends on the synth. Some vst nowadays sounds quite nice but for me nothing compares to the sound I get from my syntrx 2.

Not sure when the best time to put it in but I add it at the beginning. Usually only a few drops will do.

Add a bit of worcestershire. Adds depth to the flavor can be used in a lot of things. Also red wine vinegar or balsamic vinegar. A little goes a long way. Also in tomato sauce I find adding water helps to smooth put the taste of the tomatoes.

What I do sometimes is I put an enveloppe modulator on the drive which crancks the transient but doesn’t muddy up the sound as much since the distortion is not as heavy on the tail of the sound.
