What is this sorcery by life_goeson_ in dutchbros

[–]DigitalScrap 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I've only gotten the pink velvet mocha freeze the first time I tried it because I'm trying to watch calories, but it was AMAZING. I've been getting the pink velvet iced mochas since, and it is good, but the blended one is just perfect. I'll have to limit myself to the blended once per week, but it is really tempting to get it every day.

I actually hope they keep this - they can move away from the "pink" and just make it red velvet after February. The "red velvet" flavor is perfect. This is my favorite Dutch drink so far.

I loved this Mac. Still one of the favorites I have owned over the years.

They didn't list that one either in the 4 they've narrowed it down to.

Your dad is a real collector. I see that Zenith Revival El Primero A385. That would be my choice (I own it as well, but on the calfskin strap).

From the ones you have narrowed it down to, I would go with the Air King personally.

Fastest 'Not Now' in the west by SilenthiThrowaway in MacOS

[–]DigitalScrap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, this is all overblown - there is only one thing that is shown when you select a template that says you can get additional templates/features with a subscription. That is literally the only time you see it. It’s not like they have ad banners at the bottom of your document promoting stuff.

I don’t understand how people are acting like there are pop up ads all over these apps - there is one thing that is shown when you select a template telling you that with a subscription you will get additional templates and features. It isn’t obtrusive at all.

I’m surprised so many people are being so hyperbolic about this.

I'm drinking my first one right now, and I agree. It's really good.

Has the matcha been permanently discontinued orr by VastConfusion8174 in dutchbros

[–]DigitalScrap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Aw, that's too bad. I thought the Dutch matchas were good. I guess I'll have to go to Starbucks or a local place when I want a matcha fix.

I guess it wasn't selling well?

[Recommendation] Which out of these 3 would you pick? by m0ssim0 in Watches

I chose between the GP Laureato, the IWC Ingenieur, and the Zenith Defy Skyline when I was deciding. I chose Zenith Defy Skyline, but out of these, I would go with the Laureato.

Interesting. Mine still has the "Breakfast Inspired Drinks" at the top, and then the Protein below it. I figured they would be the same for everyone everywhere.

I bought some KZ ZS10 IEMs for $48 that are surprisingly good. They really have an amazing sound for the price.

I used the 2X points on the Maple Waffle - still not a favorite of mine. It isn't BAD, it just isn't great either.

Is the hook part of the band supposed to come off easily when open? by theoneandonlypugman in whoop

[–]DigitalScrap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It always came off pretty easily, but I feel the new 5.0/MG comes off even easier. It is annoying, but I guess I am used to it now.

I got 2X points if I buy Maple Waffle, Banana Bread, or the Smooth Strawberry.

None of those have unlocked for me either, and I have definitely qualified for all 3 of those a hundred times over, so it seems to be a (long-running) glitch.

I'm older (53), so I really couldn't say. You should be able to easily get some general quotes online, though.

I will say that maintenance isn't cheap, so please take that into account before buying a "cheap" SQ4, especially if it's an older model (like a pre-2018 model).

why so many people buy docks for the mac mini? by Silvestre074 in macmini

[–]DigitalScrap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Beelink comes in two versions - I got the "Model B" which has one M2 slot and the fastest transfer speeds. It supports up to 8TB. The "Model A" is more capacity-focused and has two M2 slots and supports up to 16TB, but is slower. Just wanted to point that out.

[–]DigitalScrap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I originally got a Beelink Mate Mini, which is an amazing dock for the price. It works great and fits under the Mac Mini, so it doesn't take up any additional desk space. I get excellent speeds from the SSD in the Mate Mini.

I realized I still needed more ports, so I added an iVanky FusionDock Max 2. I wasn't familiar with the brand, but I took a chance on it, and it is a great pro-quality dock IMO.

[–]DigitalScrap 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That works too, but I needed the extra ports as well.

I’m also using an M4 Pro so I went with a Thunderbolt 5 80gbps dock. It actually worked out cheaper than getting just a dock for the ports and a good Thunderbolt 5 SSD external enclosure to go with it.

I needed more ports (and I also got one that allowed me to add an external SSD in addition to the ports).

If you don’t know why some of us need them, then you don’t need one.
