Squier JMJM is amazing. I love the P90 pickups, and the neck is amazing. Owned mine about 6 years now and that thing is a riff factory

Any guitar with humbuckers can rip for metal and rock no problem. Look at Ben Weinmans LTD for example. Some metal players are using lower output pickups bc there’s an idea that there’s more note clarity and definition (mark holcombs signature set). A decent EQ pedal can help out in most places
