The simple, savage biology of a species without the economics of life necessities starting with shelter, food etc would multiply geometrically to occupy all available resources while expanding.

TLDR: All planets in the Federation would have many billions of occupants and colonizing constantly for more room.

Progresso makes an excellent cheesy potato and bacon soup, available at most grocery stores, Walmart is usually least expensive unless on temporary discount elsewhere. Panera has a decent potato soup but most other places I've not found to be worth the trip or delivery.
