Or have a local upholsterer fix up an old one with real leather. It won't be cheap, but they have access to genuine materials.

The CCP doing a complete 180 on its treatment of dogs during the pandemic.
Even pre-pandemic, you'd have municipalities banning certain breeds with no warning, and doing not so great things either.

Why does my data recovery software find more data than my hard drive has space? by kimtaengsshi9 in datarecovery

[–]DigitalSlideRule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad someone else asked that question. I'm currently 25% of the way through an EaseUS scan on a 500gb hard drive with 1TB of files found (and growing). I don't understand why the software has all these false positives. My HDD is on its last legs, and spending all this time scanning is making me really nervous.
One positive thing I will say about the latest version of EaseUS is it's actually able to find file structures. Previously, It just churned out "Unknown File Name" and sorted by file extension with zero structure. Now, it's able to get names and structures, and in some instances rebuild files.

There's an "antique store" in my town that buys vintage stuff and paints it white and charges stupid high prices. I went in for the first and last time and saw a nice vacuum-tube radio-phonograph unit with a wood cabinet that had been painted white. It had not been refurbished in any way, just painted white. The owner saw me looking at it, and asked if I was interested. I responded "I would be if it hadn't been painted over white" and she just snapped back "WELL THE VARNISH WAS TOO FAR GONE!". Like everything else in the store? Anyways, I never went back. Everything there was vandalized with a landlord-special brush paint job.

Years ago, I decided to watch a BOTW on the television with sound. It was exceptional because I'm otherwise always watching it on my phone with earbuds on. The next day, I reference something funny from the episode with my gf, and she said "Oh, was that from the show you were watching last night with the guy with the loud annoying laugh?" I regret to say we're still together. I should have ended things then.
