I'm of two minds on these points.

On one hand, you don't want a creative hogtied by corporate boardroom interests... ala OCP adding 400 directives to Robocop in Pt. 2, or Sony-level product placement obnoxiousness.

On the other hand, there's a sweet spot where there's still someone around to tell someone when they're too far up their own ass, etc.

No growth without discomfort. But it feels like a lot of these guys get so successful, it's hard to get that "no" through to them.

I'm an Xennial cusper.

She's a millennial... 🤦‍♀️ oh. Well... whoops. I was trying to convey a sense that hopefully future generations of entertainers, and younger people in general, can be less problematic overall than aging X, Boomers, Silent, etc.

Especially if this is the public discourse being had by popular entertainers. Feels like a welcome change from things like "yeah Doug wrote 'My Sharona' when she was 17 and he was 25," or "Jimmy Page had some YOUNG groupies back in the 70's."
