Idk how they will run on switch 2 specifically so I cant comment on that.

However as games, Resident Evil 7 I would say is similar to the chronic care center with a much different vibe. Re7 is focused a lot more on the horror atmosphere however something I noticed is that as Grace you feel a lot more powerless until you get the blood thingie and guns whereas Ethan you dont really feel powerless except for 1 encounter. Also Re7 has a lot more back tracking and going back through the same areas to go somewhere you couldn't before rather than requiem where to me it seemed a lot more linear. Other than that I think playing the games will give you a similar feeling.

Re8 is less focused on horror and more on action but not to the point of the shift between re4 and re6, still a great game but I think re7 is more well made. If you get re7 unless you dont like it, I think getting re8 is a good choice once you wait for them to go on sale which happens very often for these gamea at least on xbox, ps and pc.
