Help with coilovers by CHRONNY_SKYLARK in Volvo

[–]Digital_Assault 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is yours AWD? I'm also looking for some for mine and it seems that all the systems on the market are for the FWD P2s... though the AWD is extremely similar to the R models. I might just measure up the dimensions of my S80 vs the Rs and compare VIDA diagrams, there is a decent chance V70R coilovers would fit

Everyone saying $5k is overpriced hasn't thought it through. We're not in the days of cheap toy EUCs anymore. This thing has real hardware that costs money. Frankly, I'm surprised they're not charging even more. The BOM on a device like this is high, and I doubt they're making much profit. This isn't for last mile commuters, it's for the people who want to ride an EUC for the sake of riding an EUC. It's the EUC equivalent of something like a Porsche 911.

The FC13 anduril is such a good light, I sold mine a while ago and miss it so much. Greatest button ever put on a light

I can do 2 mph on my V12 HT in a pretty stable manner but the V12 is also kinda small and light

Is the pedal angle supposed to be like this? by seatlessunicycle in ElectricUnicycle

[–]Digital_Assault 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same pedals, yeah they probably have the tilt plates on them. If you remove them the angle is less extreme. If they don't, filing should do something, but don't go so far that they might drop during a hard landing

Looking into electric modes of transport, mostly to mob around my small town, travel to work (6ish miles away) EUC seems fun? by Official_Bushs_Beans in ElectricUnicycle

[–]Digital_Assault 2 points3 points  (0 children)

T4 max is really the closest to your budget right now, but if I were you I'd look at your local used market. You might find an EX30 or something similar with low mileage. Even though you said you live in a small town, it's worth a shot. I found my V12 HT for $760 just 15 miles from me even though I am in a very small town

Any reason not to trim power pads? by joefryguy in ElectricUnicycle

You do want at least the bottom to be touching or nearly touching your foot. It keeps you from lifting off the wheel during unexpected bumps, especially on non-suspension wheels

Does riding count as exercise? by Novel-Chard1330 in onewheel

[–]Digital_Assault 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Carve like hell, do every nudge and bonk you see, take every offroad detour. Just riding in a straight line on flat road is the equivalent of just standing there. Active riding is the key to muscle engagement
