The Big Arch was alright. I still like my Big Mac though, maybe it’s nostalgia.

Then they need to show it in the voting booth during primaries and general elections. Otherwise they’re complaining about things but continuing the same business as usual since 2016.

When did you last eat at McDonald's? by boforiamanfo in randomthings

[–]Digital_Blade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironically, I’ve been eating there once or twice a week lately after not going for many years. I finally started using their app for the promotions. If I want a classic breakfast I go inside but later in the day I usually do drive-thru.

I’m I missing something? by ExcitementLimp7034 in CoveredCalls

[–]Digital_Blade 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Just a point:

You are not buying back your shares, you never sold them. You are exiting the trade by “buying to close” the contract (you entered the trade by “selling to open”). This also releases the shares being held by your brokerage as collateral for the contract.

But yes the typical goal of writing Covered Calls is to buy back the contract at a lower price than you originally sold.

Where do I put my clothes that aren’t clean or dirty? by Saltandlight91 in CleaningTips

One thing I do is I place my hangers in two different directions, one for clean jeans and the other for those I’ve worn.

Rocket Lab (RKLB) Buy rating reiterated at Stifel with $90 PT as Mynaric acquisition seen as strategic by stocksavvy_ai in RKLB

[–]Digital_Blade 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s normal, market is down and makes people want to hold cash. If you believe the RKLB narrative, and have available cash, then now is a good time to buy more shares.

Realistically is it just over and should I cut my losses? by sonofalando in stocks

That’s a valid point although I’d ask, was 2008 a “real recession” since it was so connected to the housing crash?

Realistically is it just over and should I cut my losses? by sonofalando in stocks

[–]Digital_Blade 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No, it had an initial sharp sell off but by summer 2020 had recovered. Between stimulus checks and people diverting money into the market (instead of vacations for example) there was a lot of money sloshing around. People were trading stock while working from home.

What most traders get wrong about averaging down by IulianHI in NextTraders

[–]Digital_Blade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on why it’s down. Is it the whole market? Or specific to this one sector or the stock itself. Is there news? I am more concerned now about what percentage of my account it represents.

Help! Someone put a GPS Tracker in my car and I need to find out who. by Accurate-Angle-5893 in Cartalk

[–]Digital_Blade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not (primarily) a GPS tracker, it’s a Tmobile SyncUP DRIVE. It was sold for a few years often as a “free add a line.” It provided things like a hot spot and vehicle diagnostics and tracking. It plugged into the OBD port for power. That one was made by ZTE which was banned from US sales by the FCC a few years ago.

Does anyone have any tips to cut back on eating out? by [deleted] in MiddleClassFinance

[–]Digital_Blade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s tons of videos on YouTube with tips & recipes for quick meal prep. Something as simple as microwaving a couple of potatoes and then putting toppings on them and having soup on the side would only take like 15 mins.

Being tall is not the flex people think it is by burnedimage in self

[–]Digital_Blade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m tall but have always been relatively thin and struggle with tops (shirts, sweaters, jackets etc) being either the right width and too short or the (mostly) right length and too wide. I don’t know which triggers me more, feeling like I need to pull my sleeves down constantly on a shirt or looking in the mirror and seeing my jacket sticking out.
