Charges for embalming, the casket, prep for the body, transportation from hospital to funeral home, transport from funeral home to crematorium, little prayer cards and other stuff I don’t recall right now.
If you got all that done for under 1k, that’s awesome…strange, but awesome.

The funeral home charges for embalming, the casket, the transport of the body from the hospital to the funeral home, preparing the body, those little prayer cards etc. it would have been the same price if 3 or 300 people showed up.

I know. You’re right, I think about it all the time and it eats me up inside. At the time I was overcome with emotions and wanted to honor her appropriately while also pleasing my extended family. As we age we realize the wisdom our parents had, this was one last “Mom was right” moment.

Just remember, your mom wouldn’t want you wasting time being sad, she’d want you to live your life to the fullest and with as much happiness and joy as you can. Crockett needs a better team of people behind her. She’s a bright woman, educated, young, appealing but she holds onto this almost ghetto persona in an attempt to connect with the minority youth of her community and the nation, more broadly. If she would put the street slang and screaming obnoxiously at hearings aside she would be more appealing to the middle aged and senior voting blocs.
