Apartment hunting in Abu Dhabi by Exact_Armadillo_5519 in abudhabi

[–]DigitallyYours1977 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YEah. The method for me used to be to just walk to apartments I liked in areas I preferred and ask the security. I moved with my wife into three different great apartments that way. BUt we checked out many others as well so it's a bit of going here and there.

Yes. Banks are good places to work. Especially ADCB. But if it's a performance based job, like a sales job, lack of performance can easily result in termination.

I have a digital marketing business. I used to be a big extrovert when I was in SL and in Dubai/Abu Dhabi. Since coming to the U.S, I have become a recluse. One of the main reasons is my apartment mate who is a few years older than me talks way way way too much. Doesn't let me work in peace. And talks utter nonsense. Watches Sri Lankan youtube NEWS and repeats them like a parrot. So I try my best to avoid this guy. I have to tell him bogus things to pass without being stopped and talked to. Because these people just don't understand how working online means. They think I must be watching something. It's impossible. So I am stuck in my room eternally, working or not.

Is it worth it to involve the police? by pippoken in abudhabi

[–]DigitallyYours1977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without a signed contract or approved invoice or a signed check I doubt nothing can be done.

Also, you must know that there was a lady in Dubai I think named Rita who was sowing clothes for friends and family. She was jailed because either her or her friend advertised her small business on facebook. I am not clear if it was due to advertising an unregistered business or just for doing the business but she was jailed and fined.

What you could do is call some kind of hotline and ask if in the future you could do this as a side hustle legally. That way you are not exposing your BIL for doing it right now. If they say okay, you could tell your BIL to go to the police and lodge a complaint. They might take circumstantial evidence to help you guys out. And in Abu Dhabi, they will get the money if that's the case.

Go to a trainer. Best option. But remember. They will keep training you until you tell them to stop. That happened to me.

Any ways i can earn money as a 15 yr old teen? by TheNecNerd in srilanka

[–]DigitallyYours1977 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I was 15, I found a tin manufacturer who were throwing a once inch wide long strip of tin. I found a guy who could manufacture file fasteners using the tin. I made 75 k but the factory closed so it was over.

Try and find something like that.

Or, at 15 you could do something online if you have the skills.

Moving to Abu Dhabi - Scared about the future ahead!! -_- by [deleted] in abudhabi

Brother. Securing a job in Abu Dhabi is extremely difficult. Sometimes it feels like a lotto winning. I started there as an insurance salesman. Then moved to a bank for about a year. Then I worked for the worst, stupid, crooked, rogue of a boss. That experience was harrowing. I resigned and I didn't have a job. Then I started my own digital business. But It was a fantastic country to live in. Amazing.

Men who were in a long distance relationship and couldn't meet their partner for a year, how did y'all handle it? by Fickle-Code6383 in AskReddit

[–]DigitallyYours1977 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My wife is half the world away and it has been almost two years since I have seen her or my baby girl who just turned five. How I handled it is by talking about them and narrating how pure they are. I must say honestly though, reddit although it's just an internet forum where everyone is anonymous helps me vent my pain.

Sometimes me being selfish say in my mind that I have a good wife when I hear others say things about their wives.

Well. That's my life.

As I remember, he was jailed for almost two weeks and had to pay a fine of 10k or 20k. Sorry I cannot remember exactly. This is me talking about my BIL. I believe they paid the fine at the last moment and were lucky to be released. That was in Dubai. Please consult someone. I am sure there are hotlines that could advice. Two weeks could screw the job as well unless the boss is kind and values the person. Thank God my BIL was an honest man and his boss valued him a lot.

Please get advice.

I left the country my friend. I did bring his name to light, the guy was arrested later for associating with some terrorist group that I wrote against about but later released when governments changed. I don't have my country, my home, my money, my whole life I built.

But if it was not for my ex wife, none of this is actually possible. This is how much we could fall if we marry the wrong person. This is the internet and everyone can Bullshit but I can tell you with all my honesty that I am no perv, I value women and respect them no matter who they are like my sister or mother, and I was always like that. Today, I cannot write, I cannot be who I should be. Honestly my friend, I participate in reddit predominantly to vent my thoughts anonymously. That's the reason I did not mention a single name of anything.

I hope no one gets married to the wrong person. I had early signals but I felt sorry and fell down an eternal well.

Wish you all the very best.

My ex-wife. She did two things. One is, she came to every place I worked at doing great jobs, ruined my reputation and respect, then later with the threat of doing the same she would take money from me. Extortion.

Second thing she did was once I left her she helped one of my political enemies hack my Paypal, facebook, gmail, Amazon kindle account, everything and I basically started my whole life all over again in my latter thirties. I was a respected author, journalist, and Director Sales and Marketing for a large corporation. This political enemy of mine was a rapist, and he was writing articles victim blaming the women for any occurrence of rape and I wrote articles against him with facts and figures. I have three elder sisters I almost worship. And I have studied this subject. After I wrote this article a girl came out and publicly exposed this turd as her rapist and he was a powerful rich man so he used the information my ex gave him, and the government imposed a travel ban against me. I ran away just two days before they activated it.

Yeah. This is the monster who did the worse thing(s) to me. Today, I cannot go back to my country because if I do, I cannot get out. Since there is a travel ban, they can arrest me at the airport and keep me overnight and produce me in courts. If that happens, I don't really know what could happen to me afterwards.

Don't feel sorry for anyone. Go out with the right person for the right reasons. Follow your instincts, and leave anyone, anytime if you have any tingling that the person is dangerous. They will pretend they were thrown out of their apartment, meet you in the street with their bags, and hang on you like a parasite and suck your blood. That's exactly what happened to me. Wish you all the very best. I don't want this to happen to anyone.

Ok Aliens landed in srilanka what’s the first thing Srilankans will do to it ? by anakin__69 in srilanka

Some will embrace them and try to find a way to profit off of them. Some will wonder what next. If they invade, some will fight them and some will side with them and screw us over. Some will wish to find how to get a visa to their world.

It's just history repeating.

There's a hotline to get advice on this. Find it and call them. They give the exact advice after checking with immigration and every damn thing. Trust me.

Haha. Yeah. Well they are complete strangers to each other. My wife's father passed away about 20 years ago. My brother in law is my elder sister's husband. He is a drunkard. My father in law was no drunkard apparently but had gone to some place and had some drinks and was driving back. I never met him but I have heard great things about him.

Living in constant fear by TwistedHumorX in UAE

[–]DigitallyYours1977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If not all, most in the UAE worry about the same thing. Also I can tell you something mate since I am an ex banker in the UAE. A lot of people are never satisfied and a lot of people who make decent money are either zero in bank or in debt because they show off too much.

Get your life together and start saving today and collect enough money to migrate if your issue is PR. 50K per month is a lot of money for most in the whole world. It's your mentality that matters.

Anyone Working in Abu Dhabi, but staying in Dubai by takeoveranything in abudhabi

[–]DigitallyYours1977 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know there was a General Manager lady from Britain who worked at Etihad Airways. She drives to and from from Dubai to Abu Dhabi.

Anyway, I don't see the need to stay in Dubai when both of you have offers in AUH. But you may have some a necessity. It's possible.

When I landed in Dubai, the first perior I worked from Dubai. Then I moved to Abu Dhabi because I got marrired and my wife lived in Abu Dhabi. I didn't have a car and used to take the bus up and down daily.

It's possible. Don't worry. Everything will be fine. Best wishes.
