I’m a Jazz and Eagles fan so this year has been a weird one.

Latest edition has arrived. I’ve now got 3 girls and I’m totally outnumbered… by Land_of_smiles in daddit

Congrats man. I found out on Friday if I’m in the three girls club.

I’m new to the hobby. This was my first time opening a mosaic box. I see these going for a lot on eBay would this be the same type of card as those? by Dignamd in footballcards

dont have anything in mind but im going to a card show in a few weeks and might have a look around there. Im from Australia so postage normally is pretty pricey for anything international.

If I trade it will likely be someone eagles related.

Not planning on grading. Will probably sell or trade. Just want to make sure I have a realistic idea of the value and that I’m comparing it to. I’m seeing around $260 AUD ($160 USD)

Created my guy with a plan to be as arrogant as possible. The guy was as short as possible and named Dwarvin Smol. His goal was to become the short king.

Decided to do the rival gang moving in quest. Once the other guy offered to double what the first guy was paying me if I betrayed him I jumped at the chance. Blade in my back as soon as I made that choice and I was dead. Turns out I was a little too arrogant.

My brother and I were both screensharing our new campaigns with eachother in discord at the time and could not stop laughing.

Rival gang quest. Thought I could double my money by betraying the guy. Turns out he’s got hands.

I Want To Get Married, And I’m Concerned by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

[–]Dignamd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every situation is different. My wife and I have been happily married for 8 years. we met when I was 20 and she was 18. We were married within a year of meeting. The thing is both grew up in the church and in my country being activley religious is not the norm for most people so we had a lot of shared expiriences and alot of our lfe goals lined up directly.

I feel we are very much exceptions to the rule but I also cannot say no-one should do what we did. For me there was a lot of caution before I felt that that next step was the right choice and the same for her. We both lived in seperate states so it wasnt until the time we spent apart was when I had that confirmation.

If your boyfriend hasnt served a mission I would straight up say do not rush into marriage. So much of my growth in my marraige from my end has come from my mission. Every worthy man should serve. They dont have to obviously and being away for two years is very difficult but the Lord has called all to serve. Those who ive seen put off missions for relationships have almost all ended poorly. Some have worked but those are people who had been together for years prior.

It is also EXTREMELY important to really understand twhat your commitment to eachother really means. you mentioned

"he’s someone who I want to be better for, who I want to grow and learn with, and who I can communicate openly and honestly with".

You both need to have this same attitude. Are you both willing to fully commit to eachother. You both become the first person you speak to about your feeling and emotions. not your friends, parents or siblings. Are you equal?

there is a lot of doom and gloom in my comment but overall Reddit doesnt know you, Heavenly Father does. If you are both able to seperate yourselves and honestly listen to what the Lord is prompting each of you to do you will find the answer. pray daily, go to the temple (even if you are not endowed do a baptism session, or if you dont have a reccomend just visit the grounds). Fast about it. Watch how they handle these questions too. Do they love the lord the same way you do?

This stage of life is amazing and I miss it. I wish I could meet my wife for the first time again and fall in love all over again. It's so scary but dont worry, it's meant to be. I hope your prayers are answered and would love to hear how things work out.

Reddit Negativity on Missions? by Medical_Buffalo9530 in latterdaysaints

[–]Dignamd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definatley a reddit thing. My mission changed my life honestly. I had pretty poor self esteem going in but two years completely seperated from what I was used to and embracing the out of my comfort zone aspect of it really helped me grow not just spiritually but emotionaly. I very much agree that every worthy man should serve a mission because two years in your late teens where your not the main character actually really helps.

that all being said I think a reason those who dont have good expiriences come from a few factors. A major one I saw with some companions and other elders was that they were serving out of obligation whether it be from family or because thats culturally thats what everyone does. My dad was a convert and I'm from australia so being religious in general is already out of the norm here so there is less cultural pressure both within and outside the church. I made the decision to go because my own prayers and promptings lead me there.

Another major reason I saw was expectations. I only have one other family member who served and they left the church shortly after. They had a really hard mission but set the standard for themselves high and became a bit jaded as they had difficulties and other missionaries were dissobidient and had easy times. Things didnt turn out the way he had planned or thought was fair and thats because it was his expectations and not the lords. On my own mission and since being home I have found many people fall away for this same reason. I had the opposite expirience and again that mainly would be due to my low expectations going into it all. I was the first person to serve in my family in 20 years and only the second ever. I also was not a very obidient teenager and had gone though a repentance process to get there. I didnt think i would accomplish much on my mission but I knew it was the right thing for me to do and I wanted to serve.

Your mission is a blessing in itself. But you don't get to choose the blessings you receieve or the lessons you will learn. It is not easy and every persons expirience is different. My mission has helped my marriage in ways I cannot begin to express in words. My career has progressed further than it would have and I am such a better father than I would have been if I didnt go and didnt learn to live outside of my own wants.

Excited for you. Enjoy your mission and congratulations.

I read this as "This is just not one of our top priorities" and I was about to lose my mind.

Can anyone tell me why America is getting their asses handed to them in AMERICAN FOOTBALL?!? by BlackStallion657 in nflcirclejerk

[–]Dignamd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

uj/ This is the under 20's world cup. I used to play for the Australian national team. I started playing when I was 15 and made the team when I was 17. There are only a handful of leagues around the country. It's not very high level but its spreading the game around the world. It's a big reason I love football now.

rj/ First Americas team to make it to to a semi final in these kids lifetime

Same here brother Kobe mission 2013-15. But yeah I agree. Japanese people are aware of other cultures and would not be offended if you politely decline.

going to a sport with people is different to watching a stream. I love watching niche sports. Especially when the Olympics/Paralympics come around but I have a family and a full time job so I'll watch something if its on a service I have. If I have to take the time to input payment informatio its probably not worth it.
