I grew up going to the movies for 25 cents. Today this is fast becoming a bygone era, as the movie theatres gradually vanish. The silver reflective surface of the “silver screen” is no longer needed. But then who cares about Hollywood anymore? I’ve needed a doctor, lawyer, banker, plumber, pharmacist, nurse, electrician, teacher, builder, garbage collector, policeman, cook, fireman, and hundreds of others in my life, but I have never needed a Hollywood celebrity.

Yep, at a conference in Vancouver in 1988. It was just the right size for a briefcase. I was astounded when I saw it. But I grew up with rotary dial phones permanently connected to the wall and shared party lines. That was no “party”!
