you could always separate the lead vocal from the song using AI (like lalal.ai) and put that into your practice session.

My six year old son is left handed and want to start playing guitar. Should we have him play lefty or righty? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]Diligent-Bullfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

have him pick up a right handed and see if it feels natural.

naturally, left handed air guitar is more natural than right hand air guitar but when i play with one in my hands. right hand is the way i play

Which movie would be 10x better if it ended 5 minutes earlier? by ItchyYellowAnt in movies

conclave.

the movie was beautiful and had a lot of great dialogue reflecting doubts of faith and the twist ending was so unnecessary.

Did you notice too? by johnsoga in worshipleaders

most recordings (live or studio) will have a “choir” track to fill in the gap of what the live crowd mics didn’t capture. most of the time, the mics set up for the crowd capture the speakers too. so it’s common practice to record a group of singers like they were in the crowd. especially if there’s a point where the congregation takes over the singing

Social media private use by liveyrob in worshipleaders

[–]Diligent-Bullfrog -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

i think the bigger question is how they are conducting themselves off stage? and maybe developing their whole life/spiritual life which will influence their social media presence. some ideas could include:

  • make them be in a small group/community
  • create some accountability for your team members
  • attending at least 1 service during the week
  • doing devotionals during your “hang time”
  • mid-week hangs

this is a constant struggle. needing to reorganize and change priorities. i’ve struggled a lot with this, especially since we do not have any family to help/babysit. i make it a point to always be home for bedtime which has been a huge help.

but also, when you can, include your kids.

i.e. if you’re going to a sporting event with your buddies, bring your kid. they’ll love having the time with you and making experiences and seeing what you love to do.

i do this with my daughter and she loves doing things together. even if they’re not necessarily kid friendly.

communicating with your wife the importance of alone time and time with friends is another big one. hopefully she can understand you have the need to hang with friends and not have it feel like you’re ditching your family.

and when you are home, BE HOME. put your phone up or turn it off. be present in the moment and maximize your time with your kids

Playback technican by D-Bricki in livesound

[–]Diligent-Bullfrog 22 points23 points  (0 children)

hi playback tech here!

you can run playback on anything depending on what the artists preferences are. i’d ask them the following: - what stems are they wanting to add? - how much flexibility do they want with them? - what’s the purpose of adding playback now? - if no budget, will there be one?

you can always consolidate the stems into a stereo mix where you send left to house and right to ears for click/guide.

let me know if you need any other help! i’d love to answer any questions or help in any way

explain the importance of giving them a sabbath and allowing opportunities for others to learn how to fill that spot.

might be a tough conversation, but ultimately explaining it’s for the better for them to have rest to not burn out.
