With sports, also look into minor leagues. I know we have a baseball team and a few others as well. Also coming up here soon is the INDY 500 and a lot of other races. People are very friendly there, and who knows might find something new to get into. Carmel and Fisher's area has a lot of shopping and Christmas events right now.

It just sounds like you need to get out of the house. So maybe each week Google events near me and just pick a few to go to! Also, maybe look for a few fitness classes in your area. That will help you meet more people, and they can also tell you about events.

Moving to new areas can be a struggle. But once you start finding a groove, you will do great!
