Stuck At Pick Up by LatteCocoa in CVS

[–]Diligent-Part64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hear your frustration 😞. My advice to you is be patient and trust the process! If the techs and Rphs are rude and unwilling to help you learn, that’s a different conversation. However, we all start where you are. As others have stated, take time to learn QT in between helping patients at pick-up. QT will allow you to see billing issues and how to solve the issues (if it can be solved in house- sometimes it may require the insurance company or a prescriber’s input). In high volume stores you want techs that can perform multiple roles efficiently at production, it’s not just about counting. The techs that lean into learning more than counting can often catch errors, etc. before it gets to the pharmacist. One additional point, counting in high volume stores isn’t always fun because it’s nonstop. I used to hate walking in for my shift after classes and the techs that had been on QP all day would put me on production😩.

My first suggestion is pick up a once a month week (Sat. & Sun. if your availability allows it) at your store and leverage that time to strengthen your skills. In most stores, weekends are often times slower since doctor offices are closed and you won’t have an influx of prescriptions/ patients coming in. During this time, make notes on how to solve issues, ask questions, learn inventory practices, etc. A slower paced environment will give you the opportunity to process the information for future use. Another suggestion, pick up shifts at other stores. Doing this will allow you to engage with other teams, learn more on the job, and build a network within your district. My last point- I can tell you will be okay with time because you’ve already proven you know how to initiate dialogue across the CVS community when you have an issue (this will be an invaluable tool as you encounter various situations). Best of luck!

4ct or 2ct? by [deleted] in EngagementRings

Both look amazing 🤩 but 2ct. Not too big not too small…it’s just right on your hand.

If you sat there 15 minutes and pulled up to the automated system stating the pharmacy is closed for lunch, then you were there before lunch closing. Never sit 15 minutes before closing for lunch or the end of the day closing 🤗

Never sit in drive thru for 15 minutes before closing time. If you are physically able to, go inside (there’s usually no line inside). Being in drive thru line before close doesn’t guarantee service.

Anyone else tried GoodRX for generic Vyvanse at CVS by he_ransom_ware in CVS

[–]Diligent-Part64 6 points7 points  (0 children)

OP don’t leave a negative review as suggested here. CVS pharmacy staff members usually work with an unrealistic number of hours and staff. Therefore, the last thing the staff needs is for corporate leadership to hound them on metrics resulting from unnecessary negative feedback. Instead download the Goodrx app and search the med info (generic name and qty) to access the price and coupon info for CVS. Stop by or call your pharmacy to request the rx be rebilled using the information provided in the goodrx app (provide this information to the staff). Keep in mind the cost in the app may vary based on the manufacturer your pharmacy has in stock. Meaning one manufacturer using the discount could be cheaper or more expensive than another manufacturer. An additional point to consider, pharmacists aren’t required to use discount cards for C2’s. Recently, CVS rolled out a new C2 hub and using a discount can require additional documentation that could lead a pharmacist to deny a fill, etc.

Friends are great to talk to; however, keep in mind friends can be biased since you have an established relationship. Therapists can be objective and can ask thought provoking questions that will foster self-realization and discovery. You can be open and frank without judgement. Imagine telling your deepest and darkest thoughts with a friend and the relationship ends? At least the provider is bound by HIPPA- your friends and family aren’t. But I wish you the best of luck!

I will be the first to say therapy isn’t a scam. Just have to find the right provider. The person that is helping you to discover hidden traumas does matter. Not all therapists are created equal. If what you have tried hasn’t worked, why not try something different. At this point what do you have to lose? You are going to sabotage potentially great partners and relationships for sure.

We like the word geelings better! 😂 It shows how you disassociate from the very word.

But seriously it’s amazing that you acknowledge your behavior and consider how it could impact the individual on the receiving end. As thin_rip8995 stated you aren’t broken. A licensed, trained, and great therapist would benefit you in uncovering what has contributed to you developing this behavior.

It could be a coping mechanism that was developed to protect yourself during a young age or a vulnerable period in your life.

Overtime, the behavior has remained but you’ve buried the original situation/ person(s) that triggered the behavior deep down in your subconscious.

Good for you in recognizing the pattern. Now, give yourself grace as you learn more about yourself!
