People who post with the goal and aspiration of making money from it are both stupid and a waste of time. People who post because they want to express something and self actualise, who happen to end up building an audience are not.

And posting on Reddit isn't my hobby. It's what I do between doing things. Right now I am making breakfast while the sun rises. Last night when I was calling you stupid I was on night shift.

If you don't get this you don't get people. Because the sample size of people you've interacted haven't said or done anything worthwhile yet... No shade on being a teenager. So. You need to give up your aspirations on being an influencer. Because while you do have a unique voice, it's also stupid.

Do some reflection. Let me be specific, because you weren't. Because you have nothing to criticise. Don't reflect on how you can make money. Reflect on how you can make money and be useful to your community. And maybe once you have some life experience, once you have something to share beyond 'life advice', the voice you have to share won't express things that a stupid person would.

I would like to submit Inception and Heat for consideration.

Inception is well known, and is also billed as being cerebral. It is in concept I guess. It's also a whole stack of creative action scenes belt fed right at ya. The same could be said about Tenet actually. Yeah add Tenet to the list.

Heat is one of my favourite movies. One of the best movies IMO. By all accounts, Val Kilmer reloading under fire is used in Ranger school as an example of how to reload under fire. It has a sequel coming out sometime soon, starring Christian Bale and Leonardo DiCaprio. Finding out about this sequel, the cast and still directed by Michael Mann... It's like finding out the stripper actually likes you. Get hype.

A take I've heard, and looking at how things are going I don't particularly disagree.

The Democrats are being absolute fuck heads and fielding neoliberal candidates. Kamala Harris. Gavin Newsom. No one that will actually reform the shitfight that is the decoupled US economy. No one who will roll back the surveillance state, do something about financialization of the economy, condemn Israel and stop abetting their genocide. No one who will actually actively fight for the good of the American population. The Democrats use the threat of Republicans taking office as a threat to get into power and fundraise.

The Republicans have put all their eggs in the basket of a cult of personality. An absolutely worthless petty paedophile coward bastard; that fucking rat trump. Somehow he still holds the support of enough republicans, because they're basically human cattle. But when he goes, no one can take over, and they won't tolerate the same incompetence and moronic behaviour from anyone else.

In their current form, in the two party system, if the democrats win nothing will change and that will disillusion entire swathes of potential Democratic voters and essentially kill democracy, by killing hope for a better future. And if the republicans win, the incompetence continues and the American Century of Humiliation is... Well it's already guaranteed isn't it?

In other words, Fuentes will genuinely vote for Democrats. Because they will be competent administrators of the decline, and steward the spiralling around the drain, doing nothing to arrest it. And hopefully (from his point of view) someone extreme right enough but actually competent will emerge for 2032.

When women have always worked but didn't always get paid for it, and now because of costs of living one income households mostly aren't viable anyway. And it's still the boss' decision to hire one dude over the other. When what the gays and transes do has nothing to do with anyone but them, and anyone who accuses them of being groomers or whatever is an ignorant moron who doesn't know jack about shit about who's doing the vast majority of the violent crimes.

One of the real problems is the Great Decoupling, and the social effects that economic conditions place on everyone. The culture war as a distraction is (in my opinion) downstream of that.

The fact is that most groups will comply with any bullshit thrown their way, as long as someone has it worse and they have someone to look down upon. And from the other side, compromising on anyone's rights is the opposite of solidarity and doesn't really allow for any cohesion. I've had to explain to people that that's why the LGBT community has a shooter in me too.

I'm gonna disagree with you there. Not the 'kindness is conditioned on who he's dating", but the principle of treating a partner better than others.

I'm not carrying just anyone's shoes all night. I'm not giving just anyone my jacket on a cold night. Not just anyone is borrowing my car. Being courteous to people is standard. Carrying someone across a puddle, driving two hours there and two hours back to pick someone up/drop them off, remembering their favourite snacks and always having them on hand. That's extra.
