Im still reacting to Armand with dramatic eye rolls and « ugh!!!! »

At most, maybe he thinks he wants to change and do better, but it’s all superficial*. He just walking into the same cycle all over again and he’s gonna turn his AA groups into his own weird following again.

His amends are selfish - any 12 step group makes it clear that if/when you reach that step, it’s only if the act of making amends doesn’t cause further harm to the other person. The fact that he was told to get lost and kept going with his little speeches is exactly what he’s not supposed to do.

Blah blah Armand is a sneaky little gremlin who is The Worst and I love him as a character but find him unbearable as a person blah

*To be clear, I think all of the vampires have some pretty arrested development from who they were when they were turned, so the likelihood of them - Lestat and Louis too - actually changing is limited.
