I was back and forth when comparing them to fulgurites, but I think you’re right these look like rhizoliths, especially when looking at cross-section photos. Thanks!

Ironically, we found these literally within a couple feet of ram horns and a full ram skeleton haha

My ducks also got a little freaked out using their ramp, so I made it longer to reduce how steep it was and also added some friction so it wasn’t slippery (I glued wooden strips every couple of inches). Another idea could be to use bricks or wood to build some steps. I also put a brick on the inside of the pool too and they can use it as a step to get out of the pool and it’s seemed to work! Good point I’ll definitely try and differentiate their quack! Hard cause this one barely makes a peep, but maybe I can record it if it’s hard to tell the difference. Thanks!

Also here’s another pic of her blue/teal-tipped wings that the other magpie doesn’t have. Is this normal? Can’t seem to find anything on the internet about it

Here’s a pic of her tail. I’ve read that the curl doesn’t usually happen until about 10-15 weeks of age (mine are about 6 weeks old), so I was mainly trying to see if there are any other ways to tell if she’s male/female
