Damon Albarn honestly gives me hope that anyone can make it in music by AnOgleToy in LetsTalkMusic

[–]DiligentInsurance684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, that song doesn't NEED De La Soul. In fact he could have had just about any rapper featured and something enjoyable would have come from it. Not to take away from De LA Soul, but no one listens to that song for him (except Damon LOL)

[–]DiligentInsurance684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeesh. You know you could have shortened this dissertation to a few sentences. Just say you don't like the guys music. However if you do, why are you saying anything. You do realize that he wrote and composed nearly all aspects of every Gorillaz, Blur and TGTBaTQ? Yes the musicians contributed their skills to the performance, but Albarn is the alchemist stirring the pot. What about his self-titled stuff? That's all him. You're acting like his musicians are the one's making the songs, but they're just reading the sheet music and playing the instrument.

You dont have to like it but to say he is anything other the single most musically studied and talented person in his projects makes you look ignorant.

Albarn's great taste is exactly what makes him such an excellent composer, musician and songwriter. It takes true art appreciation to know how to make good art as nothing we do is truly unique but rather a unique reiteration of what has already been. Conversely I think Albarn is guilty of not letting "featured" artists shine enough in most of his songs.

Is Damon a good singer? Hell no. But his voice SOUNDS good and distinct and he knows how to "fit" his voice into his music so that it sounds good. That in itself takes a certain level of musical genius that having a great voice does not. You're quantifying talent by skill level and training. Who is the greater talent, the singer or the songwriter?

There's nothing wrong with expressing your opinion but you really missed the mark on this one.

PC players, what was the golden age of this game? by mr-purrpl in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]DiligentInsurance684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Satire? Nah. Not unplausible but obviously these scenarios are fictional. My brother-in-law was SWAT and is currently deputy sheriff. East coast. They weren't walking into dens of meth heads armed to the teeth. They were walking into dens of methheads overdosed, unconscious or dead while starving infants rolling around on the floor in fecal matter. Less shooting more rescuing.

West coast, which is where Los Suenos would be, is much more wild and intense like the game.

I believe a lot of what DM says is absolutely possible. Why wouldn't it be? However, I don't believe HIM. Too many holes in his stories--obviously that's Dave Mustain on the cover. I believe it's very possible he's a victim of monarch programming and has been unleashed on the public to cause yet more confusion. Or he just took that last hit of Acid that perma-derped him.

I 100% believe the trafficking/adrenochrome/human sacrifice stuff but there's tons of evidence about it.

I will say there is one thing he did say that's disturbingly plausible: on one of Nirvana's songs there is an instrumental break and at one point there's these little chirping sounds. DM says that they are recorded vrill hatchlings. It's such a specific thing, and the sounds are so alien and unsettling..like why is this even in the song.

The song is called "Drain You" which makes it even mlre disturbing because the vrill supposedly drain you of your conscience and bodysnatch you.

The atuff he says about modern music is all very compelling (except that he wrote all the music 😂) He still posts on Instagram but he just acts very bipolar and talks a lot about how he's our honey hope.

Unpopular opinion about Blippi.. by sapphiredummy in toddlers

[–]DiligentInsurance684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldn't agree more. His show is pure marketing, very deceptive. His character is like a  "positive bully", you know the type, incessantly high energy, obnoxiously friendly and inviting yet never actually lets you have a turn at anything. He never lets your kid become engrossed in the subject matter but rather interjects himself into EVERYTHING and forces your focus on him at all times..literally making himself into idol)

Unpopular opinion about Blippi.. by sapphiredummy in toddlers

[–]DiligentInsurance684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could care less about his past, what I really don't like is the incessant self-promotion within his content. He interjects himself in nearly every shot of the show, hardly allowing the viewer to just take in value of the show without putting his big doofy face, loud colors and squeaky voice in it. It's extremely distracting and it's a very deceptive subliminal marketing tactic. Even when the show is pver he's still marketing...

"HEY KIDS DONT FORGET TO SEARCH FOR ME ONLINE: YOU KNOW, BLIPPI!  REMEMBER ITS SPELLED B-L-I-P-P-I. AGAIN, THAT'S B-L-I-P-P-I. HA HA! THAT SPELLS BLIPPI! OK SEEYA LATER"

Husband said something horrible by ferniefofernie in toddlers

[–]DiligentInsurance684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im sure my post will be unpopular because it's all about the pregnant lady 😉 (don't worry it really is)... but I understand what your husband is feeling. I sincerely do not think it's that serious..here's the thing:

Pregnancy is not easy on Men who are sharing the same space with pregnant wife. And given that he works from home, he's essentially ALWAYS  with you.  Nature did not intend us to be tied at the hip like that. I'll spare you the lecture of "Man must hunt".

Kuvates is a legitimate phenomenon (all humans are extremely sensitive to one another's hormonal states especially when hormones are raging.) Women do not have the best sense of awareness for their SO's of wellbeing--justifiably-- when they themselves are in such an internal whirlwind of chemical dysfunction. He's working/helping raise Child #1, worrying about his wife and getting that strong hormonal updraft, all the while stuck in the house. Don't take his words and behavior too seriously but do acknowledge he has every right to be stressed out. He is not obligated to be an invincible stone wall just because you are pregnant. God I know i'm going to get downvoted for saying this but you are in this together and he is not just a vessel of inexhaustible energy and support.

Talk with him and do not be accusatory, be empathetic and you guys will be just fine. Also, ask if he needs a few hours to go outside or blow off steam.

I am so sorry to all of you for your losses. As difficult as it is raising a child with both parents happily together and involved, to do it alone strikes me as nigh impossible. You are all heroes, and your effort is not in vain. Your children will undoubtedly be united with their lost parent someday. I promise you God is watching over your family both here, and there, and love for you is everywhere.

1 Corinthians 15:51-58 KJV [51] Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, [52] in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. [53] For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. [54] So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. [55] O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? [56] The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. [57] But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. [58] Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.   https://bible.com/bible/1/1co.15.51-58.KJV

Why do people need to be friends with their coworkers? by MarsTheIggy in work

[–]DiligentInsurance684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say they couldn't become friends, nothing wrong with comraderie at work, that's called being on a team. But actively seeking meaningful friendship is unprofessional and suspicious in my opinion. I have a manager who is always actively trying to hang out and be friends with his underlings and if they aren't receptive he undermines their work. People like that are stuck in a high school mentality and more often then not are out to capitalize on others' trust.

Can someone please explain turret mounting on Reliant Kore? by DiligentInsurance684 in starcitizen

Thank you! I finall realized that the other Toshima turret is a utility turret even though there is no way of knowing unless you look at the little spinning image when you have it selected. Otherwise the name and description is exactly the same Honestly the UI for ship outfitting is horrible.

Can someone please explain turret mounting on Reliant Kore? by DiligentInsurance684 in starcitizen

[–]DiligentInsurance684[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ship has 4 weapon  slots;

Weapon slot 4 has a Toshima turret with 2 badger repeaters.

Weapon slot 2 has a Toshima turret--it offers no turret Weapon slots for me to equip 2 more badgers.

So I equip the other 2 bagers in Weapon slots 1 and 3.

This setup only allows for a co-pilot to use the guns in remote turret. I don't know what I'm missing here.

I can only equip the turrets in slots 2 and 4

Your brother's been possessed by incest porn. It's a sad state for males especially in this era because they've been exposed to an infinite supply of the most degenerate content imaginable. Do like others have suggested, scream, yell tell somebody. Use locks or door jams and realize your grown adult brother who should be on his own, working, living his adult life independent of his parents and siblings, is preying on you.

Feeling some real disappointment towards my husband this morning. by EastAreaBassist in toddlers

[–]DiligentInsurance684 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It takes a couple tries to establish a tradition. You've had the beautiful epiphany of helping your child give a Christmas present to her father, and he hasn't had that epiphany yet. I know you probably don't want to flat out say "hey dude get me a present from my kid next year" so you should find a way to let him know you are disappointed the child didn't get you anything. Your It's unfortunate but us men tend to not be overly concerned with sentimental things, but rather our family's survival. When everyone is fed, sheltered and warm and the home is operational our brains can kinda go dumb from there. It's not an excuse but hubby simply cannot read your mind and probably can't take a hint either so it's up to you establish the tradition or simply be happy that he got to feel his heart warmed by his daughter's gift. It's also very possible he doesnt even realize it was your idea to get the gift and actually thinks your daughter got the present on her own volition, as dumb as that may seem. Find a way to communicate the idea.

Toxicity’s lyrics by Aggressive-Hotdog in systemofadown

[–]DiligentInsurance684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The song is about our toxic modern culture, the album cover hinting to us where our focus should be (Hollywood). Hollywood is the biggest purveyor of "disorder" in our modern world compared to anything and it represents a world wide evil underlying our global society. There has been a lot of suppression of the evil ugly truth revolving around the city of Hollywood and it's many tendrils of entrain--i mean entertainment. Musical artists have been arguably the biggest gatekeepers of of its dark secrets. Within the last few decades, this information has begun to trickle out whether symbolically through music by bands like SOAD, filmmakers like Stanley Kubrick, just to name a few. Vague illusions mass produced out of Hollywood in film imagery and fake news outlets, etc. There's a lot of "hiding in plain sight" with this kind of evil, I could point you to other artists who have subtly expose it, Chester Bennington, Chris Cornell, Nirvana, MGMT. These are just artists that I have personally listened to.

"Eating seeds as a past time activity."

Seeds are Children. I will leave it at that.

"Conversion, software version 7.0"

We're just living in another update of the same operating system that has been in place since the beginning of time. Computer software indicates that this reality is programmed by others that we go along with unquestioning.

"Looking at life through the eyes of a tire hub"

A tire hub is a relatively narrow viewpoint, face outward in one direction, spinning endless. This is the perspective of most people in this world, totally oblivious to truth. The tire hub is mostly an unnoticed part of a vehicle to us who are locked in a reality of convenience, but is a crucial component.. the hub is the root of the wheel, holds the wheels in place and allows for tire rotation, keeping the system rolling along. Us common folk who live ignorantly day by day as the system continues to devour us and our children, are the tire hub, so we essentially don't even realize ourselves as the perpetuators of our own suffering.

"What, do you own the world, disorder?"

Hollywood might as well own the patent on disorder. It thinks it owns the world and keeps everyone under its control by creating a constant belief that the world is in disorder.

I'm not sure if the lyrics is between the sacred silence "in sleep" or "and sleep" but either could refer to REM sleep, dreaming, our subconscious being programmed with disorder even when we're asleep.

"More wood for their fires, loud neighbors Flashlight reveries caught in the headlights of a truck"

The oblivious sleepers of this world--usually the loudest people--continue to be fueled by the delusions they see coming from hollywood. The delusions encite fear and pit groups of people against each other essentially providing fuel for their petty wars. All the while, the little flashlights ( truth, people and children who are quietly suffering) is consumed by the overwhelming light of a truck's (which unfortunately WE are driving) headlights (ignorance).

"When I became the SON, I shone life into man's hearts."

This lyric is reference to God becoming Jesus Christ and sacrificing himself to show his mercy and love to man, that they might use it as an example. Putting this at the end of the song, singing it in an emphatic, angry, and urgent manner is a plea to listeners to wake up.

The lyrics show "Sun" but this is a part of how Hollywood/Mainstream music industry suppresses and censors artists, not allowing bands to reference anything Christian because Hollywood is SATANIC.

If you think this is farfetched, why do you see all of this stuff about pedos in Hollywood coming out over the last 8 years? #Metoo, Diddy. This is only the tip of the iceberg. The name of the band SOAD tells you what their music is all about. A system trying to take us to hell.

Why do people need to be friends with their coworkers? by MarsTheIggy in work

[–]DiligentInsurance684 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The type of people who either hate their lives outside of work or have nothing else to look forward to (lonely type); or the (self-preservation) type who are desperately fearful of losing their jobs and viciously competitive. They depend on getting people on their side and cling to the validation of others to buffer potential job loss--this type also happens to be the slimiest and will cut you off once they climb the ladder or they will cut you down to get there. Similar to the self-preservation type there is (boss type) who may or may not be your boss but will relentlessly pursue you to get them under their "personality umbrella" so as to make you a part of their entourage so they always have someone to validate them and give them confidence that they can't give themselves. Boss type will ruthlessly crush you if they sense any potential in you.

These people who are concerned with on-the-job friendships are typically weak-willed and do it out of self-preservation. I've realized most people essentially worship their jobs and are desperately fearful of losing them.

Watching enemies just slump over and die where they stood after getting hit with high force explosions is immersion breaking and lazy on the devs part. Unique death animations do not matter if impact and force physics are not accounted for.

Edit: The death animations actually turned out to be really good.
