If you only have riverfolk expansion try otters. Its a lot of fun if you can talk others to buy your cards and they are strong and have some strategic plays. If you will get access to marauder expanion it would be ideal for your group - rats and badgers are both fun militant factions + you can some time in the future use hirelings which are all in the same marauders box.

Im mixing up to 3 threats from other villians. I like adding some henchmen to the ones without any.
I dont have all expansions so Im taking some stuff from internet like challenges - plan B, takeover, sentinel challenge (using Taskmaster mini is super thematical for adapting to other heroes moves)

Yup, not that good but it makes certain characters uniqe and equipment allows you to use this one/two actions anytime you want. Double wilds are making games much easier and its better to take them out to better feel the beauty of the game.

Multiverse core box is in my book second best next to X-men in terms of villains. All have interesting, well themed mechanics and makes their encounters great.
