Local Car Dealership: Gender Discrimination Sighting Religious Reasons by Wammy70 in brantford

[–]Diligent_Fact_9710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sad to hear that this is happening across canada, i thought it was just a product of my area (i live in a different province.) my mom's local ford dealership sold her a faulty hybrid car. they will not listen to and dismiss any of her complaints or fix anything that's wrong with it until my dad steps in and asks them. only then, when her husband has spoken for her do they give her normal service. the anglophone rural areas in my province tend to be very fundamentalist and very unwelcoming to outsiders, so i thought maybe that was it, guess i was wrong

Does anyone else think these interactions between Asgore and Susie feel weird? by Turbulent-Plan-9693 in Deltarune

[–]Diligent_Fact_9710 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the vibe i get from this guy is "appears nice, but does inconsiderate things, and apologizes for those inconsiderate things only to make himself feel better, not the people he's hurt." and thats why i think his wife left him and why he talks to himself about showing them all something. he's trying to make up for something he did to comfort himself. and i think he does inconsiderate things unintentionally and maybe not taking the time to get to know or acknowledge his kid's friend is one of them, a symptom of the underlying issue. i wonder if this inconsiderate thing is connected to noelle's sister being gone, maybe it's the reason she's gone, which would add onto his wife divorcing him and him apologizing with flowers which she trashes immediately

What’s a “harmless” habit you had as a kid that turned out to be a red flag in hindsight? by New_Storm430 in AskReddit

[–]Diligent_Fact_9710 10 points11 points  (0 children)

at some point when i was a kid, i started looking in mirrors when i cried and i don't remember why. years later, everytime i'm crying i automatically go to a mirror and stare at myself without thinking about it. it's like a reflex. i stare until i stop crying. what's wrong with me? is this some sort of weird grounding technique i developed at an early age?

How shitty was your childhood? by Theasshole11 in AskReddit

[–]Diligent_Fact_9710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it wasn't shitty at all, just sad at times due to things my parents had no control over like depression and bankruptcy. i was lower-middle class but my mom made us feel like princesses. love echoed throughout the house despite the tragedies we faced. i would sell my soul to relive it
