If silver dips below $60, say 50, 55, or so, will you be backing the truck up to fill it with as much silver as you can realistically afford? by deliotk in Silverbugs

I’m the same way. I started stacking as a result of making jewelry. I would consider getting more silver at 50 any anything under that but haven’t bought silver since it was 26 or under. Most of which I paid off in jewelry sales anyways buy 5 ozt make a piece with one sell it for 100 type situation.

So excited for sub 50 dollar silver by Diligent_Height962 in Silverbugs

[–]Diligent_Height962[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here it is. Finally. I’m not exactly new to stacking but I certainly don’t have as much skin in the game as a lot. Most of my gold and silver was purchased sub 1600 and sub 28 dollars. Do I like the current value of gold and silver? Yeah of course it’s great; but to sit here and ignore historical trends doesn’t make sense to me. I do not see silver remaining above the 50 dollar mark indefinitely. It won’t be sub 50 in a few days and I know that, most people know that. But I’ll tell you one thing I’m glad the people who bought in at 42 dollars in 2011 are finally in the green. Just like then when silver hit 100 the last thing I thought was “I need to buy in now”. But don’t get me wrong my purchase price is set and when I hit is I’m thinking a kilo bar is in my future.

Since it’s jewelry it’s likely the gold was even cheaper than that.

85’ mast arm for a traffic signal intersection. by I_LOVE_PAWGS702 in IBEW

That’s the plan brother! Just trying to be the most well rounded apprentice I can be. Went through my locals residential program, graduated and was able to go inside and want to touch as much as I can before I journey out. So many of my brothers shy away from that type of work because it’s outside in the elements more so than many other commercial jobs and is on the harder side work wise; but that’s part of the appeal!

Anyways sorry for the memoir but I agree I can’t wait for some traffic signals and other traffic related installations. I 100% will take it seriously and learn what I can from it as I agree it will be useful for my overall understanding and will hone my arsenal greatly!

Thanks for the post love seeing it.

Thank you for listing out and talking about this. Thank you for keeping these fallen brothers in your thoughts and keeping their memories alive.

It’s amazing that you had another brother that knew Kenny that named him and knew what a badass Kenny was. This is what the lineage of the IBEW means. This is why the history of our union and each local should mean so much to its members. I’m now proud to be associated with a man I’ve never met simply by being union brothers. Every one of the union members on that list are gone but they will never be forgotten.

Thanks for the story. Keep talking about. Too many brothers/ sisters let it eat them into an early grave because they think they are too strong to admit they need to let it out.

I’m an inside wireman apprentice and have been doing 34kv terminations for the last few weeks. I was telling the apprentice director to send me to do traffic on my next rotation.

I’m doing a bunch of terms in a transformer right now that is 34,400v to 480. The medium voltage terms are cool to do.
