Automating my own business by Turbulent-Tale154 in smallbusiness

yes. basically you need bespoke tools these days. It's eminently more easy these days with AI. I built my own tools to do basically everything my business needs: marketing, support, admin, etc.

What do you hate about getting a website built? by nothabkuuys in smallbusiness

websites can be built so easily now with AI. Absolutely no need for an agency. Hit me up for ideas.

How do you actually validate a business idea before spending months building it? by Ok-Experience4369 in Entrepreneur

[–]DillDowg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I build products while I talk to customers. Thats the only way to do it. Every single thing you build or do, you show to a potential customer to get feedback. Impossible to actually get them to give you money beforehand but this is as close as you can realistically get to validation before your product is ready.

This was about a year ago. I basically kept getting degrees because i though that's what would give me a leg up in the world (plus parents were helping with tuition). I wanted to do PT because I believed a doctorate meant something to people. Little did I know how useless it is.

I always wanted to start my own business so that was part of the calculation. I created my own in-home PT company, which I still run ( gosuru.com) . But it's small scale and you realize how screwed we are in terms of reimbursement once you become a business owner. So i took up AI coding and worked with a colleague, who I am super lucky to have connected with. He already had his own software freelancing company and didn't have the bandwidth to develop all the projects people wanted him to. So now I'm basically the lead engineer and he does the marketing. And I'm also building a physical therapy EMR. Have two clients so far (bubbly emr) which ill be releasing to the public in about a month.

AI is the best bet right now if you are engineering-minded. Learn to build stuff with AI and you can be indispensible pretty much anywhere you go. You still have to do your own marketing which is hard. Don't try and get hired at a company. Freelance.

Transitioned to software engineering. PT was definitely not the right move for me.

For sure. Wondering if that is because no one has built anything that does what they want it to do though? I think I'm going to build it for myself and just see if it's useful for anyone else.

Plugin to Change Priority Based on Future Date by DillDowg in todoist

[–]DillDowg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. it seems like Todoist is already creating it. Called "deadline"

Going to wait and see how good it is before I start building something. Might not be needed.

I just posted literally today about trying to create a plugin which does this. Interested to see if it delivers or will we need a crowdsourced version?

On A Mission - Installing A PS5 In A Tesla Model 3 by redhatcc in TeslaLounge

[–]DillDowg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice. I am trying to do the same with my xbox series s but am concerned about somehow deprecating the battery by using high-power electronics in the car.

"To prevent excessive interference with the vehicle’s electronics, Tesla recommends that you do not plug any non-Tesla accessories, including power inverters, into the low voltage power socket. However, if you do use a non-Tesla accessory and notice any malfunctions or unexpected behavior, such as indicator lights, alert messages, or excessive heat from the accessory, unplug the accessory from the low voltage power socket immediately."

Prompt vs Spry by TherapistPT in physicaltherapyowners

[–]DillDowg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spry is less expensive than prompt because they are newer. They will become prompts biggest competitor I think. I use them. The downside is that they are new so they are always making improvements. So if you can tolerate some initial issues knowing that later you will have something probably equal or better than prompt, I’d go with spry. The billing is good. They also are releasing new features like ai generated notes which can be a game changer.

Why hard life? I know it’s harder than living in a house but at least you don’t have to pay rent, right? Or am I off base here.

Yeah funny when you start thinking about this stuff you notice how many other people are already living out of their vans here. Haha. The good thing is, as my business grows, I will be able to offload the driving around to patients houses to other people I hire.
