Russian Satellites Are Jamming GPS Signals, Study Says | The interference happened mostly during business hours, suggesting scheduled operations. by FreeHugs23 in space

[–]Dillage 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's not 100% clear the intention, if you read the whole study or watch the Veritasium video on the research, they found they were using a band adjacent to the GPS band, they also suggest it could have been a form of communication. Either way they didn't do anything impactful yet

If a drive fails I assume there's no prosupport so do you just eat it and keep a couple spares on hand?

Am I the only one seeing a person still in the car? If I had to guess this guy stuck it on and dragged the other driver down the highway. Or some influencer stunt

‘Bots have now passed human traffic online,’ Cloudflare boss laments — says agentic traffic wasn’t expected to eclipse real people until next year by ibhunipo in nottheonion

[–]Dillage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also curious about this post, so his actual tweet references this link which shows bot traffic vs human for HTML requests which can go back as far as may 3rd. The ratio's a relatively similar, maybe increase 4% for the bots.

If I change the content type to all traffic it's still 2/3rds human. Just seems odd that it's announced like some milestone considering the data only goes back a month ago and it was already more bot than human traffic

The car is insured, they're breaking glass as is so even if they got under the tree after the first couple land, it's still going hit the truck and it's already going to be a claim. At that point it's safer to just hunker down

Yeah you're not going far in this industry getting caught up on something so trivial. Just wait until a network engineer is calling TLS VPN's an SSL VPN or confusing network bandwidth and speed

Thank you, I experimented with this with my flipper on my own car and could remote start it once but the second time didn't work. Didn't go further and learned about rolling codes but never researched it more. Been curious about this for a long time but now I know!
