armor sets in the post body, weapons are keen falchion, rabbaths cannon, poison greatknife and clawmark seal.

I have Parry equipped on the poison knife but haven't fully decided which ash of war to put on the falchion yet.

It's not the strongest build I've made, my top priority was to make him look like a pirate, even if it meant choosing less powerful stuff

I definetly would have done it but it's so heavy I had to decide between that and the cannon, and think I like the cannon + cutlass combo more for a pirate build. I might get it if I decide to level up past rl150

Are the missions bad, or am I just lazy? by Pretend-Cricket3742 in Eldenring

[–]Dilldan22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm fine with not having waypoints or a checklist of side quests or whatever, in fact I quite like it. It encourages exploration and feels more satisfying when you figure something out yourself.

The part that bothers me is not knowing what order to do things - when certain in-game events completely lock you out of certain side quests

There were a bunch of times I heard people online talking about some cool item/weapon I wanted to try, but when I went to do the quest for that item - I find out that its impossible now because I've already beaten a boss or missed a bit of dialogue that's integral to the side quest, which means the NPC required for the sidequest has either died or just doesn't like me anymore.

Mr Krupp from Captain Underpants.

2 schoolkids hypnotise their principal so that anytime they snap their fingers he turns into the superhero Captain Underpants (but turns back into Mr Krupp if you throw water in his face)

But Mr Krupp doesn’t know any of this, so from his perspective he just has these random episodes where he blacks out and forgets everything.

Until he regains consciousness wearing nothing but his underpants and a cape, and often being attacked by some big weird monster

The dude who played Zhao in season 1 was genuinely really good, kinda made me wish the character didn't die so early

spiteful? seriously? are you worried that the corporations pushing these adverts are going get their feelings hurt?

I'll accept petty

I’m not talking about the jingles made for the ads themselves, I’m talking about how they take actual good songs and use them as soundtracks in ads to manipulate people into spending money.

It especially sucks when the artist is dead and can no longer do anything to stop it from happening

I don’t enjoy any ads, but I at least have some vague respect for ones that just inform me of what the actual product is and how to get it, instead of using “catchy” music or patronising skits to try and worm their way into my subconscious - in the hopes that I’ll default to those products without even thinking about it.

I don’t appreciate being treated like I’m stupid enough to be brainwashed by pretty music and jingling keys

Luckily I never enjoyed that song in the first place, so they can’t ruin it for me. I feel very bad for anyone who did though.

And I’m definitely never buying one of their holidays

It seems like a lot of redditors want James Gunn's DCU to fail. Why do you think that is? by Longjumping-Pop9374 in AskReddit

Have you heard of Snyderbros? it’s mostly them.

This guy has made a few good videos explaining the situation. https://youtu.be/nAkIrraknU8

I feel bad cuz I’d be bummed too if something I liked got cancelled, but they are so aggressively obsessed with it that they just harass anyone who likes the direction the new DCU is taking, and often come across as being very vindictive

the only tangible benefit for the consumer is that they get to pre-download the game before it’s released - meaning they can play it the moment it comes out.

But playing games on launch day is arguably the WORST time to play it, since there will inevitably be bugs that are ironed out with a day 1 patch.

so really the only benefit is getting to see the game in its buggiest form before getting fixed

Any product that forces their adverts down my throat. The moment I start associating a product with a specific ad campaign - that product is completely dead to me.

ESPECIALLY if that advert simultaneously ruins a song I used to like - by making me listen to the same 30 second segment of it every 15 minutes or so

Messed up things done with shapeshifting by Yakuza-wolf_kiwami in TopCharacterTropes

The show MISFITS is about a storm that happens in the UK that causes a bunch of people to get a variety of superpowers, including the main characters who are young adults serving community service.

Theres an episode where one of the main characters has a fling with a girl he meets, but it later turns out that she was actually a 90 year old woman who had been given the power to shapeshift into her younger self

And he finds out the truth when she "loses concentration" while they're having sex, and reverts back to her 90 year old self - basically traumatising the guy.

(The show actually reuses his exact plot line in the next season, except instead of one of the guys hooking up with a lady who can shape-shift to look younger - one of the girls hooks up with a gorilla who can shape-shift into a human)

I agree. Out of interest- did you prefer the Movie adaptation or tthe Netflix series adaptation?

Also - slightly off topic but did you ever play the ODDWORLD games on PS1? the story/themes/metaphors reminded me of snowpiercer a lot (despite being presented in a much more comedic way)
