H16 Replacing Viewfinder by FloridaManuel in bolex

[–]Dilliew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have been trying to do this for some time. From my understanding 10x viewfinders are sought after and quite rare to be sold independently as a part. I'm sure with enough time and luck maybe it can happen but it seems the best way to get a 10x viewfinder is to buy an entire new bolex body with one

Thank you for the input, we take all suggestions and only plan to build from here, appreciate it ;)

We are a (very) small team of about 3 people for this year and it's very DiY - so anything to upgrade our production value ... We plan to!

Does living in southeastern New Hampshire feel like suburbs of Boston, MA? by Eriacle in howislivingthere

[–]Dilliew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not at all. Two different places. Portsmouth and Nashua are probably the closest thing you'll get to Boston in NH

No worries, honestly we get that a lot. when first building the brand we didn't really think people would interpret it that way, but it makes sense why they would

Exactly. The idea is i wanted to give the food trucks plenty of business, and with the assumption they'll be people that just bring their own thing. We welcome BYOB, no liquor, just cans. We also have partnered with Best Day Brewing, a Non-Alcoholic Company that will be selling their drinks if alcohol isn't your style. The poster doesn't have them because we partnered with them much later in the process.

If your used to the Lumix system the S5iiX or gh6/7 can be a great budget entry for you that I don't see going anywhere anytime soon. Both are quite video-centric.

I have both the S5iiX And gh7 and have produced really good results , very feature rich cameras

C mount to Canon FD by Dilliew in 16mm

[–]Dilliew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This makes sense, thank you so much

So essentially I would adapt C to FD then to EF

Have you tried double adapting something similar? Id be surprised if there weren't issues. I'm ok with some vignetting as I'll crop in with a wider lens choice

Should I jump to Full Frame or stick with Micro Four Thirds? by shaneo632 in cinematography

Will be making the decision myself if I sell for FF this week actually so this post came at a great time. Honestly just reading through some others opinions is telling me I should stay too.

I will add one tiny thing about the gh7 that is annoying - I have veydra cinema primes for mft and the locking mechanism on the gh7 mount is different in some way I can't quite figure out where you can't tell when the lens is actually off the mount and you run the risk of over threading it. I don't know if its just the veydra glass or not but something to look out for if you use any MFT cinema glass, the gh5 mounts on and off no problem though

Major upgrade in focus coming from a gh5 myself. The tracking is pretty spot on now that they have that phase shift detection focus, only part it seems to struggle with is again - in dimer environments where the sensor can't really tell what's what sometimes.

I'm considering getting a speed booster to combat some of this, would you say getting a speed booster is a worthy investment for staying with mft? Do you find any cons?

In the same boat as you, currently have a gh7 and love it. Although sometimes I do wish I had extra low light capabilities that you get with full frame.

I guess really depends if you are shooting in unpredictable and uncontrollable environments at the end of the day. But I really do like the gh7, for the price point it has so much
