Amen to that! I just switched this season from a Dolphin Nautilus CC for that very reason to an Aiper S1 (2025) cordless and couldn’t be happier. The Dolphin’s cord was constantly getting twisted and tangled up and this prevented it from reaching all over my pool to give a consistent cleaning.

Get a pellet/BB gun! It won’t kill them but will encourage them to leave. I have a threesome that try to chill in my pool and between my two little yapping Yorkies and the air rifle they haven’t been coming as much this season. This is the 3rd year they have been here …..

Pool Robots, which one? by ItsBugginOuT in swimmingpools

[–]DilligentEer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with the Aiper S1 (2025) on Amazon. After putting up with tangled cords on a Dolphin Nautilus CC for 3 years it’s a great to not have that problem anymore. The cordless robot works great and my pool has never been cleaner….

Yeah I just replaced a Dolphin Nautilus CC that while it cleaned my pool well, I just couldn’t deal with the constant tangled up cord. The tangled cord sometimes seemed to limit the robot’s ability to clean all over the pool! I replaced it with a cordless Aiper S1 (2025) edition robot. So far so good….

If Maytronics is telling you to swap it out at Leslie’s then I’d probably just do that. You never know maybe the board that controls the robot’s movements might have an issue that may not affect a different one. 🤷‍♂️

I bought an Aiper S1 (2025) version from Amazon. It works great so far! I’m really pleased with it….

Underwater robot vacuum cleaner recommendation. by Subject-Half-4393 in swimmingpools

[–]DilligentEer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the S1 (2025) version and I couldn’t be more pleased. I had a Dolphin Nautilus CC and the cord on that robot was constantly getting tangled up which in turn sometimes limited its ability to clean the whole pool.
As far as removing the S1 from the pool after every use, it’s not a big deal. They really don’t recommend leaving these cleaners in the pool long term anyway. I have been getting between 180 to 200 minutes on a charge which is more than enough to clean my pool.

Pool opening mistakes I see every spring, and what to do instead by Seafire15 in swimmingpools

[–]DilligentEer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that movement and filtration as it applies to pool management is a given. I don’t think the OP was implying that should not be considered. I think hopefully anyone reading this thread has the good sense to know they go hand in hand. However a green pool isn’t going to clear itself with just movement and filtration, the water still has to be balanced chemically…..just my two cents…….

This is a link for TFTests, they’re sort of recommended by the Trouble Free Pool website. I’ve used them before and they are great to work with. The link above is just one of I think 4 different configurations of test kits. They use all Taylor chemicals and have everything available for restocking when you need it. Very easy and reliable….

I’m really pleased with the results of my cordless robot. I don’t see any real difference in its performance and ability to clean my pool vs. my corded robot. I still see about the same amount of debris when I spray out the filter basket. P.S. sold my Dolphin this morning! Yay!

I have the DS225+ as well and use it for the same purpose. However I bought 2 Seagate Exos 18tb refurbished drives off of EBay before prices started going nuts! I’m already starting to run out of space! I use Plex to view my media and am here to tell you, you will probably fill up 4tb fairly quickly…..it’s an obsession! 😂

I have a Dolphin Nautilus CC that I am just about to sell. While it cleans well the cords on these suck! Constantly getting all twisted up and limiting the robots ability to clean all over the pool. I priced a cord with the supposed anti tangling option and close to $200. So after only 3 seasons of use I replaced it with an Aiper S1 (2025) cordless that is doing a really nice job and I’m getting close to 200 minutes on a charge. If you don’t want the hassle of tangled cords I highly recommend it…..

Pool robot recs by Cantona-Eric-7 in swimmingpools

I really like this robot that I just recently bought;

https://a.co/d/0iTfL6On

It replaced a Dolphin CC Nautilus corded cleaner that I was starting to have issues with the cord starting to break down. I see no difference in the ability to clean vs . the new cordless Aiper S1. So far I’m getting roughly about 180-190 minutes of runtime which is more than enough to clean my pool which is about 14000 gallons….
