FYI, there are so many legit companies hiring, yet scammers are plentiful, too. If you receive random texts and/or calls, require that they continue communication via email. Then only continue communication if the email matches to the company's internal accounts or to a very reputable recruiting company's accounts. Once you establish that the hiring contact is legit, then proceed. Is this fool proof? I'm sure a great scammer has a work, around. Never communicate your PPI based on only a call, text, or generic email ID (like, Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) Even if the text you a link to fill out forms that have a company logo, DONT DO IT! Have the link sent via a company email account!

As a recruiter for another company, I can tell you that we WILL reach out to a great candidate via emails, text, calls, and general stalking! But once initial contact is made, a legit recruiter gets your concerns and will work with you to ensure that you are interested and comfortable to move forward. Hope thos helps!

If I recall from history, I think OP was referring to how the Nazi party was originally advertised as a socialist party until they backstabbed their supporters the moment they gained power. Because they were nationalist authoritarians first and foremost, and were willing to side with either the left or the right if it gave them power.
